Kara Wolters in the Hall Of Fame

I never had the chance to see her play but I just love her on the Uconn basketball shows. Congrats to Kara!!! Can someone please tell me where the women's basketball HOF is located?

    WNBA Draft Tonight 04/13/ at 7PM ESPN2

CHONG, CHONG, CHONG!!!!!! Way to go Saniya. Everyone is so proud of you. Now get that Uconn diploma and go show these people what you are made of. Basketball is fun again, go for broke and play your heart out in The Big D like you did in The Big O.

Hypothetical: Z and Crystal Dangerfield Both Start - Who Doesn't?

I agree 100% with this. Geno will NEVER not start Kia, he just won't. I don't know much about Stevens but Crystal has left me very very unimpressed. Crystal does have a tremendous up side and if she builds a real game and learns to play D she could be a major contributor. Down side is there...

Geno protecting Saniya in the presser

I cannot stay quiet on this one. The lane was there and she stepped up and took the opportunity. Had the shot gone in or if the refs did the right thing and she made both free throws and Uconn won you would be singing her praises. The lane was open, players step up and make plays. This game...

Great news, good by Doris and don't let the door hit you in the Buttocks on the way out.

    When the going gets tough

Well said. IMHO the "ghosts" are as much a reason for this loss as anything. You beat a team by 60 points in the NCCA tourney you create an incredible hunger in the team you embarrassed. Miss St had their dream shot at Uconn and paid Geno and company back in spades. Geno knew it, he...

The Girl With The Tattoo, Saniya Chong Has Made Her Mark At UConn

It was been a rough and rocky road for her at Uconn, but now she is composing a beautiful ballad for her swan song. Could not be happier for this young lady, her family, especially Mom, and all her fans and supporters. Just an inspiring thing to watch and as one who has watched her for 8 years...

    Shout-out to Saniya Chong

Your photo seems to correctly represent your attitude. First, concerning Mr Samuelson: you obviously quoted from the NCAA rule book. But ESPN is an independent company and should be able to do whatever it wants. I could be wrong, if I am you will surely tell me. As for the effects and side...

    Shout-out to Saniya Chong

The poor man is obviously uncomfortable with all the attention. If ESPN was stand up, which they are not, they would be paying for his air fare. They keep exploiting the guy as an ongoing human interest story instead of doing the game. You want to keep annoying the guy constantly at least pay...

    Shout-out to Saniya Chong

Yes she did. Geno did it right, took her out of her last game in CT to a large standing ovation. TOO BAD THOSE SLUGS AT ESPN DIDN'T ACKNOWLEDGE IT. Too busy with the camera and the commentators spending that time of several of the losers. Doris in particular has a H@%# O% for Saniya.

    Great Saniya Chong article...

Great story. Most of this came from Geno's post game stuff. Now that he is shedding light on what has gone down the past 3 years I feel enlightened. Just so happy to see Saniya go out playing so well and getting the recognition for her ability that many of us always knew was there.

    OT - Impressions of Bridgeport

Bridgeport was a PIT when I lived there 40 years ago and it is still a PIT today. Tearing everything down should not be mistaken for development. Granted it is a bit better....tear it all down...remove the people.....guess that makes it better, but still a hell hole. Just think, to build the...

What the HECK happened to The Paramount Bar & Grill? As Zoom-Zoom used to say, "THE MOUNT IS THE BEST DAMN BARROOM IN BRIDGEPORT"!!!

What did Geno say to Chong?

Saniya had 320 treys in four years of varsity ball at Ossining. Of those one year she had 108 and another 100.

UConn Freshmen/Commits: C. Collier, Coombs, AEH, Gordon, Walker

Ossining and AEH beat Elmire 87-80 in a wild affair that had Ossining up 20-2 in the first quarter only to be behind by as much as 8 in the fourth quarter. AEH finished with 40 points. By the way she has now set a new school record for points in a season, which was held by Saniya at 928, Andra...

Details on Kia's stress (fracture) injury to ankle

I hope Kia's ankle continues to improve and that she can successfully contribute in the NCAA tourney. These stress "reactions" can linger and all of a sudden just blow. Many of you baseball and fellow YANKEE fans may remember Derek Jeter's going down like he was shot when his chronic ankle...

Adamec: Geno on the AAC...Andra advances

Blake, Binghamton is a long lonely ride from Storrs.... and oh did I mention that the greater Binghamton area is not exactly a garden spot but a northern outpost of Appalachia. As for your speculation as to why NYC schools are not in this tournament is because they play in the PSAL and have...

UConn Freshmen/Commits: C. Collier, Coombs, AEH, Gordon, Walker

UPDATE: Ossining does play again in a New York State regional final game at Johnson City High School on Saturday 3/11/17 at 3:00 PM. They play the Section 4 winner Elmira High School , which is a combination of the old Elmira and South Side High Schools. They combined both schools and created...

    Saniya's sophomore indecision per SNY

Another boneyarder going off half cocked making assumptions and judgements without knowing any of the facts. Maybe, just maybe it was Geno or someone on his staff that started this tempest in a teapot. Some of you people on here have in the past and continue to disgust me.

    Saniya's sophomore indecision per SNY

oldude, Either way you just further added to this nonsense by passing judgement on what her HS coach did or did not do or should or should not have done. Seems you like to surmise, which is very much the same as you liking to assume. We all know what A.S.S.U.M.E. means and in your case it...

Doris Burke "NOT" the President of the Saniya Chong Fan Club

Doris Burke maybe a champion of WBB and Uconn but she has continually bashed Chong for the past 4 years. I bet if someone else had drawn that charge (Kia, Lou...) all we would have heard was what a great play it was. I have been sick of the Chong Bashing for the past four years. She had...

Any new news on the Andra injury?

No fracture, said to be "just" as sprain. Only time will tell how "just" it is. When she first went down it almost looked like she was hold the knee. Hope she heals up and is ready to go for the first few days of March. SEEKING SEVEN!!!

Blogger Raul Points Out UConn Playing Starters Up 40 Points

BOO HOO, Wah Wah, Raoul didn't get a trophy. Stop it, you sound like a snow-flake. Not to disparage any players but the Uconn bench is very limited from a numbers stand point this season. As for the three pointers, players have to play. What are the Huskies going to do, pass the ball around...

    Saniya is #1

Saniya has really come out of her shell. She looks so relaxed on the court the past several weeks. I took almost 4 years but she finally looks like she has become part of the system. Most importantly she appears to be having FUN again on the court. I know that is an over used helicopter parent...

Crazy observation - not a complaint. Whazzup with Saniya's exaggerated head fakes?

Never remember head fakes in high school. Usually she didn't have to, just blew by everyone to the basket. Saw most to her high school games, don't recall many head fakes.
