You might be saying this as a joke which is cool, but he wears sunglasses because the light in the arenas both him some. I always wondered why he wore them.
Scary concussion in an exhibition game against Indiana Univ of PA. He’s suffered complications ever since. @connVA i get the attempt at a joke based on the look, but he will likely suffer side effects for a long time. Not very funny.

oh wow I didn't know it was because of the concussion. Yeah, that's bad.

I always hated pairing Curbelo/Posh together: two small guards who can’t shoot, but I did like Pinzon as a long-term piece for SJ: a shooter with length who can defend multiple positions.

As a result, I picked up Addae-Wusu on the BY fantasy league. Not yet playing him over Scheierman/Umoja/Dawes but thinking Dawes might be out of my lineup.

Say what you want about the guy…but three straight games suspended and still has his teammates backs like this? Uhhh yeah I want him storrs bound next season

.-.
Incredible that we lost to that team
I think the BS technical on Clingan played an enormous role in that game. Dan Hurley sat him for quite a while after that and we had no rim protection when their guards were able to drive.

That call (the refs had no reason to balance it when Jones took a swing because he didn't like incidental contact) reminded me of when Minlend slapped Donny Marshall before an inbound play and both got T'd up. That school has a history of cheap @$$ $#!t.

They’ve got a replacement coach in mind and we know him well.

Anderson’s buyout is near enough to $10M after this season. I guess we will find out what’s in their piggy bank after this season.

I think if you look at the second half, every time we scored, they scored. Literally….every time. (I think we scored twice in a row in the final seconds, but other than that, we didn’t get any stops when we needed one.)

They kept us out of our offense and we could not stop theirs so disaster ensued.

yeah Posh/Curbelo is really a duplication of skill and weaknesses although Posh is tougher and can mix it up with the big boys for rebounds. Ever since Curbelo got suspended, or whatever, Posh has played much better. Posh has to have the ball and run the show, he can't play off ball at all-it doesn't play to is strengths. Jordan Hawkins is a great off ball player, but Posh is just bad off the ball.

Didn't know that. My bad
Concussions are no joke. I just finished my last treatment for post concussion positional vertigo. Its been a year! Look at Caroline Ducharme's case this year, she seems to struggle with loud noise

Pinzon isn't wrong. They play semi-organized chaos as a team, it does work sometimes but I don't think players really like it when there is near zero structure. They are talented enough to be a better team.

Pinzon killed us last game so it will be nice if he's not playing. Soriano also outplayed Sanogo...we need a big game from him. May be a game where we need Clingan to play more to counter Soriano's size.

Here’s the post @wheelerdog is referring to

I'm not surprised. When Fox had that game day they were in the huddles and had the coaches mic up all game Anderson seemed a clueless coach who only was into motivating while Miller was a great tactician. It was night and day.

yes he did play a good game against UConn. I wouldn't count on seeing Pinzon play another game in a St. John's uniform ever again though.

I rationalized or gave the benefit of the doubt to Anderson thinking maybe he was holding back because of the cameras being on the entire time and he didn't want to give anything away. But yes, I thought Sean Miller looked and sounded much better than Anderson. All Anderson offered were cheap platitudes and motherisms-I was not impressed at all and was rather disappointed.

Pinzon has some game, like that kid. They score getting to the hoop, hardly shot the ball at all from the perimeter mainly because they can't. Would be a good team to play 2-1-2 against. But doubt that will happen!

He worked his butt off after getting long Covid last year to be able to play this season. I can't imagine what happened to cause him to get suspended.

Not when Anderson has an incomprehensible 9-36 record in Quad 1 games, a 6-20 mark against ranked teams and has lost at least 11 Big East games in three of his four seasons here. Over the last two years, St. John’s is 5-21 in conference play against teams other than the bottom three of Georgetown, DePaul and Butler. The effort of Anderson’s team — not performance, but effort — has been lacking too frequently.
Yikes!

Marquette on the 13-0 run leading Creighton by 10 w/8 mins to go in the game in Omaha.
