Just rewatched the game on DVR and one of the things that jumped out for me during both viewings was the good sportsmanship during the game. Everytime a UCONN player was down, if a Hawkeye was near by they would help the player up. You do not see that too often anymore from opposing players...
That’s a great article with a nice tidbit about her struggles and motivation early in the season, thanks for sharing. Dennis Rodman huh? Makes sense now.....
Not sure if any else saw this? It’s a talent show of fans host by
Paigeand team on Instagram live. Gives good indication of their interactions off court......
Geno has a responsibility to the team and no one else’s, not the media, not the NCAA, not you, not I and definitely not future male fans of WCBB. The goal right now is to win a chip. If that means he needs to play his starters 20 minutes to give them game action after 10+ days of no real game...
The version i believe was that she was at her dad’s workplace to fax it in. I do not believe the version where they were in the car and just happen to remember and just happen to have the paperwork and pulled over the side of the road and signed...
If you have a gmail acct, Gmail allows you to insert a ‘.’ anywhere in your email address before the ‘@‘ and it will still arrive at your inbox but to whatever site to use them, they will all look like different email addresses since the ‘.’ can be moved around to create unique email addresses.
I am surprised the kids had a choice of shoes last game based on CD’s uniformity rule.......I thought my eyes were wrong, butt his photo proves there were 2 sets of shoes worn by the team.....
Does anyone know why only 2 of the in game jerseys are up for auction? Seems like they are leaving a lot of money on the table for a good cause by limiting the jerseys.
Wow, nothing against the two teams playing in the video of Nat’s game, but watching that makes you really appreciated what UCONN nation really has. I mean look at that crowd and just the quality of the game video....
Anyone know the rules behind how Geno was able to comment on CW’s recruitment to ESPN before the public knew? Is it ok since they did not air it publicly until now? Seems like it’s skirting the rules a tad but......
Per Jim Fuller:
UCONN RETURNS HOME TOMORROW
UConn announced that the team is expected to land at Bradley Airport at 3:15 p.m. tomorrow and will head to campus after that.
There's not going to be any media availability so I won't be there to provide coverage of their return.

I recall this topic prior to the season. Most wanted a title, but there were few that wanted the streak as they put it, "it's a once in a lifetime achievement vs a natty which is more *common*"

They had Geno on live via tele-conf to congratulate Lobo who was onsite. Funny bit as they had some tech issues and Geno seems to be taking loss in stride. Lobo was very appreciative as it came today of all days.....
from Jim Fuller's blog:
"I wish it would have happened against Florida State, I wish it would have happened against South Carolina, I wish it would have happened against Baylor, I wished it would have happened against Tulane," Auriemma said. "I've been praying for the end to the winning streak...
No, I think the biggest jinx was all the threads about 200 wins in a row, 5 championships in a row tattoos, and discussing who would UCONN face in the finals. A lot of people need to reflect and re-calibrate their expectations of this team from other-worldly to very good.
A bad-ass did win the game tonight, Morgan William.. gotta give credit where credit is due. Might not be a huskie, but at least it's a bulldog... still in the canine family.
I agree. And I hope it curbs the taking every game as a win for granted. What these players do every game/season is not easy and we should appreciate each one and not assume that UCONN will be in the finals every year..... we get everyone's best effort... and anything can happen in sports...
After the buzzer you can see she wanted to collapse to the floor but decided not to as the Miss St bench stormed the court. She was the best UCONN Huskie tonight. She should have no doubts that she tried her best. The miss FT's did hurt, and as a team they can always do more to improve but hats...
