She comes back and says, "Sorry, I was incorrect. He is not a student at Dartmouth, he attends UMass-Amherst. I misread that."

He's a student at UMass-Dartmouth.

Now we have the terrorist expert saying they might have been recruited by a terrorist group as a sleeper cell. One of the best things to do if you're a sleeper cell is to not make Youtube videos about your hatred of America and how you beieve in the end-time destruction of the country. That's the advice I would give my sleeper recruit.

One thing these live TV events do is showing how incredibly stupid and vapid most news anchors and reporters are in reality.

Most are much closer to Ron Burgundy reading teleprompters verbatim than they are to some utopian Walter Concrike.

Thinking on their feet or reading, interpreting and paraphrasing on the fly are not the strong characteristics of news reporters.

They tend to be redundant when they are not reading from a teleprompter.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I don't think that's at all a good thing. I don't understand this impulse to shut down a major american city over something like this. The whole point of terrorist acts is to prompt that kind of (over)reaction.
