You are very certain that these bombers are emboldened about shutting down a city. I don't have the same sense that that was part of their thought process

The woman reporting for CNN is an absolute idiot. First, Wolf Blitzer asked her to describe what the feeling is like in Watertown without people roaming the streets. Her description:

"It's like a bomb dropped. Everyone is holed up in their homes."

Like a bomb dropped? Are you that much of an idiot? There was no other possible analogy you could have used?!

Then she walks up to a cop right after the shots were heard to ask what happened. The cop told her to back up. It's like, did you seriously think he was going to stop and answer your questions when there are 60 cop cars rushing to the scene?
 
CNN reported that the FBI interviewed the older brother in 2011 at the request from a foreign government, they had info that said he had ties to an extremist group. The FBI searched him and told the foreign government that they had no reason to believe he had extremist ties.
 
Honestly, check the boston affiliates. They have been on top of all of this from the start. Most are streaming live. WHDH, WCVB, and WBZ are the big 3 networks.
 
CNN is so covering all bases now.

NECN had live video set up in back of the house where the boat is.

What a crazy day, crazy week. Got up this morning having missed the night's action. Heard about the scene in Watertown, which was a couple of miles from my old apartment in Waltham and very close to one of my running routes. Drove 93N into Boston while at least a dozen police cruisers passed me around 6am with lights blazing. At work I overheard a conversation from a woman who had a family member hospitalized from the bombing. Drove home listening to reports of police looking for a van and seeing the suspect's face plastered on electric billboards. And finally tonight there is closure. I wasn't directly impacted like others were, but this feels good. Or at least better.
 
3 people are in custody after a search warrant in New Bedford was executed. Sounds like it's more than just these two kids.

In custody or just being questioned? Seems unclear and is a huge difference. Sounds like they are his old college roommates. 2 guys and a girl
