Key tweets, and it's all gone to Hell.

Reading between the lines, are you saying that ND is looking to open up options to its current relationship with the ACC?

I can’t see another conference that is desperate enough to put up with their BS. And Yormark already blasted them famously.

It's not going to happen.

First, can we all stop buying into the myth that somehow the SEC or Big Ten are actually special once you get past the top two or three teams? Beating Iowa or Purdue or Missouri or whoever is the same as beating whatever scrapple you're beating in the ACC.

Second, why would they? Hey, let's upheave our entire athletic program for no particular reason or benefit! It'll be fun!

Third, you are absolutely crazy if you think there's a school out there that is gonna look at the Big East and think, yeah, I wanna do that instead of the ACC.

ND has scheduled SEC opponents (recently and in the future) like Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Texas, Florida, etc....

You are completely wrong about ND's talent level. ND may be rated #1 in the country going into next season.

Marcus Freeman has transformed ND's talent level.

For instance, ND had the combined #1 recruiting and transfer portal class this year.

ND went a decade without recruiting a 5 star. This year? ND signed five 5 star recruits, plus got four former 5 star recruits in the portal.
It is more likely the Notre Dame ends next season ranked 13th again than it is that they start the season ranked first.

You think there is only 2 or 3 top teams in the SEC and BIG 10? lol. 9 schools in the SEC and 9 schools in the BIG 10 have won the national championship in football. In addition football game attendance runs much higher in both the SEC and the BIG10 compared to the ACC.

.-.
Clown take. We just look at Notre Dame’s results. The team trades on their name not what they do on the field.
You mean like its 24-4 record the last two years, with 3 playoff wins and a national title game appearance in 2024?

Or do you mean its 54-13 record over the last five years or its 102-29 record over the last ten years?

In the CFP, the only wins the SEC managed were against themselves and Tulane.

Don't do them the kindness of sustaining their narrative.

Neither one of those statements changes the facts as they are now.

Imagine being so dim as to think that Illinois or Iowa claiming fake titles a hundred years ago is some kinda power move.

Ahh yes and they make their own schedule and get routinely ranked 10 spots higher than they deserve since forever.

Or do you mean the supposed national power who hasn’t won a National Championship since Ronald Reagan was in office and the internet was still YEARS away from even being used by most people? Hahahahahahahahahahaha

6 of ND's 12 opponents are selected by the ACC, not ND.

The second part of your sentence is subjective emotive BS.

In the last 30 years, there have been 16 different schools that have been ranked 1st at the end of the season with their current conference:

SEC: 8 schools
Big 10: 5 schools
ACC: 3 schools

With Ole Miss and Indiana in the playoff this year, and Indiana winning the national championship, I would say most Big 10 or SEC school have a chance to win a national championship. Revenue sharing and NIL changed everything.

Just wondering, did ND ever advocate for the ACC to invite UConn, like they did for Stanford and Cal?
