David Benedict reposted this tweet. Not sure why.
Maybe because we are 3-1 in our last 4 games against the ACC. Good marketing.

A key paragraph from the article:![]()
'We are money laundering' — With schools bending (or breaking) new rules, SEC and others mull new governance model
Frustrations over tampering and lack of enforcement from the NCAA have the four power conferences considering drastic changes that could impact the future of college football in several ways.sports.yahoo.com
Each conference competing solely with its own members is what stood out to me. That would be a bold strategy. We are almost there aren't we? No more NCAA, no more oversight, don't worry, just come to the games and buy Merch.
Who could beat us?Each conference competing solely with its own members is what stood out to me. That would be a bold strategy.
Won’t happen in basketball due to money generated by the tournament .A key paragraph from the article:
"For some, a solution is emerging: Each conference should govern itself, enforce its own rules and, perhaps even, compete solely with its own members."
I think an event will break off from the NCAA is inevitable exactly because of the money generated by the tournament. If each conference was self-governing, but agreed to a collective tournament, that would be a big potential windfall.Won’t happen in basketball due to money generated by the tournament
But don't forget all the money Rutgers-coached players have made 😂
They didn't make a mistake. By inviting Rutgers, they got access to higher pricing on first tier cable in the New York City DMA, plus they got access to higher pricing on the first tier of cable in the New Jersey DMA. New Jersey has over 9 million people in it. It was entirely a money grab and not in any way intended to improve the conference. From that perspective, it was entirely successful. The Big10 has to know how very wrong they were to include Rutgers.
