Rumor I heard was that they really had a good time outside of their work and let's just say it kept them from working as much as they should have.
Sucks because their pizza was great.

The owner worked for a long time at First and Last in Hartford. The pizza was great but the business was a disaster. You’d order a pizza, they say it would be ready at 6:00 and it would easily be an hour late.
Had a great evening there with friends 4 weeks ago. First time. Starts with a sip of Limoncello. Antonio working the room is part of the ambience. BTW-He's happy to give input on a wine choice. Plan on taking some food home. Will be going back.
Curious about Geppetto Osteria in Torrington.

They lost me with the comparison of pizza places with coffee shops. And there is no pizza price war anywhere near me. Pizza cost me double what it did before Covid. And if I have it delivered, I used to tip the driver five bucks for driving 2 miles. Now it's seven bucks to the pizza place plus whatever I tip the driver.
My theory is single boomers can no longer eat an entire pizza.

Auriemma was not impressed with whatever pizza they served the women's team post game last night. Wonder where it was from? Domino's? Marketing opportunity for Pepe's to get them some pizza next game. Lol
“The Pizza Capital of the world, my ass,” Auriemma said while taking a seat, 20 minutes or so after the Huskies’ 99-50 victory over Villanova. The pizza delivered to the UConn locker room, in Auriemma’s opinion, was not good. He equated it to sauce smeared over cardboard and then pointed out longtime Philadelphia sportswriter Mel Greenberg.
“Don’t believe those signs, Mel, when you come into Connecticut, ‘Pizza Capital of the World,’” Auriemma said. “We’re going to get better pizza, I promise you. I’ll bring some for you guys to taste it. The good stuff, when we get the good stuff. Not the crap we’re passing off as pizza now. Being Italian and being from Philly, no, sorry. It doesn’t live up to the standards of UConn or the State of Connecticut.”
