Corey Evans said there's still a long way to go with this recruitment. He said "there are a lot of moving parts" what he means by that idk. Im assuming he's saying what we've been saying. With the whole Kansas, Duke, Indiana situation

It was a very interesting comment he made. I'm getting 10 different stories on Waters right now. Some say will pick UConn and others say no way in hell. Very diverse responses
The ppl i've asked aren't "credible" per se. Just AAU guys who know him and his father. The 3 i asked said UConn. But it could just be what they hope will happen idk. So Grain of Salt

More saying UConn or more saying no way in hell?

wonder if kid and dad aren't on the same page

Could be. He said he's letting his dad handle everything. Idk how common that is. I think dad has his mind made up on UConn and tremont not so much

Corey Evans did add he believes we are one of the top landing spots. Ot just depends on if we can offer him what he wants at the next level

It is pretty simple with Tremont.

Will we offer him enough of what he wants, playing time and shots. If we don't, his dad will take his services elsewhere. Dad is brokering the commitment, not Tremont.

I believe you are correct

I said it before and I'll say it again, let's start recruiting more players with no father figure.

Which is probably why Duke isn't interested. They've been through that before with Derryck Thornton's dad.

His dad told Calapari, Tremont needed 15 shots a game. Cal told him to go fly a kite.

That's great, glad to know you have a pair of eyes and like him at the 3. Given the current makeup of the 2017-18 team, Larrier would be best deployed at the 4 in order to maximize the talent on the team. Luckily for us as fans, we have 2 recent examples of this working, and nothing we've seen out of Larrier as of yet suggests he's incapable of playing a stretch 4 effectively.

Pretty good to have larrier at your 4. Tough matchup for the defense.

I'm continually amazed at how you people build scenarios with absolutely no actual insight. In the name of God, would you freaking nitwits stop speculating about a kid's father?

There are times that I wish that we never started this crapshow of a message board.

If true thats asinine. That wont fly anywhere

That can not be true. If Cal offered and told him the job was his to earn sophomore to junior year, I bet he'd be signed.

Just my opinion, though. I don't feel like I really know anything when it comes to recruiting nowadays and how the system works. In assorted threads here, we have people mentioning that Alterique has expectations because he was a burger boy, that him and/or CV were worried about preferential treatment being given to the Mass Rivals kids to maintain that relationship (ship has probably sailed) and a number of other background situations not commonly known to the public. I don't really know what is true and all our "insiders could be BS'ing but it sure seems like a head coach has to navigate choppier waters than I presumed.
