The Cleveland Browns are 2-6, 1-3 at home, 138 pts for and 186 pts against.
The NY Giants are 2-6, 0-4 at home, 117 pts for and 175 pts against.
The Jets are 2-6, 1-2 at home, 150 pts for and 170 pts against.

Greg Zuerlein is not the issue. Aaron Rodgers, with much MUCH better weapons around him is playing as badly as Deshaun Watson and Daniel Jones.

I really have to wonder whether Rogers' Diva attitude is a negative in the locker room. The team watched players traded away to bring in his friends. It just sets a really bad tone for team unity. Also, as Pats DL said, he's just not moving like he used to. Breece Hall needs more carries.

I guess I'd ask you to clarify "diva".

I am not sure he primps around expecting to have a red carpet laid out for him....but I could believe that he openly backstabs or did not support Saleh in front of the team. One thing I'll say for Brady is he let Belichick chastise him the entire time they were together, knowing the roles on a team and what his reaction meant. Rodgers, on the other hand, could definitely contribute to a fractured clubhouse.

Two things can be true. Rodgers has generally played like crap, yet with a decent kicker the Jets are .500 or better.

I think Rodgers is pretty banged up…hamstring…foot…knee. That’s why he isn’t moving well…oh that and being 40.

But…that doesn’t explain why he is having clock issues and missing receivers.

Rodgers is tough to figure out…if you listen to him talk he says all the right things. Except for the Mike WIlliams comments. The players seem to respect him and like him. But I do think the coaches seems to fear him. So…I do think there is a little diva there. I still would love to know the truth about the Saleh firing. I find it hard to believe ambassador Woody didn’t talk to Rodgers about it before he pulled the trigger.

Let's say this.

Rodgers may not have directly supported firing Saleh....but he surely didn't petition to Woody to save his job.

New England and The Jets each have 2 wins but one of those wins for each is against the other. Each only has one win against the rest of the NFL. They said right now, with tie breakers, the Jet's would be the 15th out of 16 seeds in the AFC playoff race. Tennessee would be 16th.

I hate the media so much. Now this morning, it's "Are the Jets back?" , "Do they have a path here?"

Please Just End The Season.

In a vacuum, it's not over for the Jets at 3-6. Particularly with a 17 game schedule. On the other hand, they cannot get games back that they've already lost which they probably should have won. They probably have to go 7-1, minimum to make the playoffs and they'll still probably need help with tie-breakers.

At the end of the day, the Jets D played well vs a hampered offense.

I am out of the country and didn’t see the game…but to me it didn’t sound like they played a great whole game. They did have a nice second half..and the pass rush had a nice game.

Hard to think they have a chance to go on a run until they can play a good whole game on both sides of the ball.

Rodgers was something like 7 of 14 for 35 yds in the first half.

He's done. At the moment Sam Darnold will be a free agent. I know the Jets needed an OT, but I was surprised they didn't just take McCarthy and let him sit behind Rogers.

The GM and coach had to win this year or lose their jobs…they weren’t picking a qb to carry the clipboard behind Rodgers. Fashanu was the right call. Especially with all the OL injuries last year and a 40 yo QB coming off an achilles injuty.

Davante Adams
13 targets, 6 catches. The first 7 targets, he had 2 catches for 5 yds. The rest came when they were down 31-6.
With the Jets, 4 games, 39 targets, 20 catches, 206 yds, 1 TD.

This is "the guy" he supposedly has that unspoken connection with?

"From 2021 to 2023, the Zach Wilson era, the Jets averaged 176 pts and 2,103 passing yards during the first 10 games of the season.

The 2024 Jets have scored 177 pts and thrown for 2,117 yds during the first 10 games."

How is that even possible? With Hall, Allen, Wilson, Davante, some Lazard/M Williams thrown in there....that Rodgers is THE SAME as Zach Wilson was. Not Zach Wilson during a hot stretch....but the entire Wilson ERA there.

he Jets were in "Win Now" mode and were evidently more than confident that a 40 year old coming off a serious leg injury and possible (more than a) touch of CTE, could return to his former MVP caliber self.

Besides, who knows how the next staff would feel about JJM? Just like Sam Howell and the Commanders, the next regime will not necessarily feel any attachment or feel they owe him anything. Fashanu, as it turns out, is a Left Tackle who can now play a serviceable guard at the NFL level. It was a good pick at the time.

Darold will probably have a chance to start for a number of franchises, given the way he's played, but I highly doubt he chooses to return to the green locker room in North Jersey. The wins cover it up a bit, but he's scuffled of late in Minnesota. Some may say he's reverted to his form from his time in NY or Carolina. They love their football in the Northern Midwest, but it's not nearly the same environment as Metro New York. He may even choose against the Blue side, if it came open.

I would be shocked (and they continue to find new ways to shock me) if this isn't a burn it to the ground and scorch the earth rebuild.

New GM
New Coach
New OC/DCs
Rookie QB from the draft this year

My wish is on the head coach. They haven't had a former NFL coach since Parcells. Prior to that, the last one was Rich Kotite. They love the up and coming defensive coordinator and that's gotten them nowhere (why they'll hire Aaron Glenn). Thinking you can strike gold with a GM, an unproven head coach and a rookie QB is not statistically in anyone's favor. I hope they take on a coach with experience next. The only one available that I'd like right now is Vrabel.

What they need is a new owner. They mey get that for a few years if Woody goes off and plays ambassador again. Chris Johnson didn’t do much better, but at least he seems to be a decent person and not an impetous tool like Woody.

If Rodgers wanted to play one more year because his ego won’t let him go out like this…would you do it?

I think they have to. The Jets will have to absorb $49M in dead money otherwise. However they can't not pick up a young QB with upside going into the 2025 season. Who that would be for them, I have no idea. I also wouldn't expect Rodgers to be a mentor.

I'm not sure how to answer that. If money was no issue, I'd cut him this morning. He's a 49m hit to the cap next year no matter if he plays or retires, so if he wanted to come back and Hackett was gone and they got a coach I could maybe get some excitement towards? I mean, I guess? Tough to pay him all that money for, in essence, 7-8 games that meant anything at all.

But, do I want to watch Aaron Rodgers anymore? No.

Saw a tweet today, not sure how real it was or just internet trash....but said Gruden was being "linked" to the Jets.

I'd take Gruden in a second. He had the Raiders on the right path before his off the field nonsense. Tough coach, good offensive mind, especially for QB's.

I'll tell you what. Based on who's available? I'd take Rex back. One thing's for sure. They'd play with passion and the defense wouldn't be a bunch of soft matadors like they are today.

I liked Rex…but they don’t need another defensive head coach.

Gruden is exactly the hire that Johnson would make. Big name…the fact he has had issues is probably a plus for Woody. I don‘t like the move.

I think Kingsbury or Ben Johnson make more sense. But…I don’t know why they would take the job. The franchise is cursed…lol.
