Maybe not, but just the fact that her name has been linked to a coaching vacancy somewhere, anywhere, will only fuel the wishful thinking and the fire-Holly movement.

To this point she hasn't said she wanted to get into coaching. She knows the game but hasn't been a coach. I don't think that Chicago State would be a good place to start a coaching career. They have lost 59 consecutive games. Obviously something hasn't worked there.

Saw that on a Gonz aga message board. There were some rumors about it recently. Seems fairly shocking. She had a decent shot of becoming the schools all time leading scorer if she returned for her Sr. year. Didn't rule out the possibility of playing professionally but that didn't sound like her primary focus. Can't really remember hearing about a player of this caliber walking away from the game (well EDD of course, but she took a hiatus and returned).

Copper was suspended for fighting at UT...Does USC really need a player like that..I must have missed that news article regarding the fighting.

Dawn has demonstrated questionable recruiting skills/draw to her program. It is so rich to hear Holly today say how great USC would have been had her 2 transfer who won the Championship stay for this year. You hire mercenaries, they will move on for a better deal. This problem child of Tenn is just another thing she needs, so she picks her up. Team chemistry has never been high on Dawn's list.

Dawn has consistently fostered a very close knit situation with her players whether they are signed out of HS or they choose to come in as transfers. They’ve had team chemistry for days. As for Te’a Cooper, all evidence shows she’s having a blast at South Carolina with her new teammates and coach despite the fact she is not allowed to play in games.

It really does come down to numbers.

The NBA has 30 teams with 13-15 players per team. That's well over 400 players. And that's not even counting the D League.
The WNBA has 12 teams with 12 players per team. That's 144 players.

As expected, the SEC changed its intra-conference grad transfer rule to make it consistent with the NCAA rule. Graduates of SEC schools can now transfer to another SEC school without having to sit out a year (or seek a waiver).

Anriel Howard can now transfer to South Carolina or Miss State without having to seek a waiver from the year-in-residence requirement. I'm sure the waiver would have been granted anyway but that hurdle is now gone.
