Speculation on a possible head coach opening at Virginia. I think Dawn should really think about it, she’s not recruiting that well at South Carolina, and they could fall behind a few teams in the SEC next year. If Holly gets canned maybe she could get Mimi Collins to flip, Owusu to decommit, and then sign Brunelle, they could be really good by the time the Sophomore group of Cavs are seniors.

Very interesting speculation regarding Dawn being recruited away from SC. If she did she would be leaving a large following of very loyal fans but on the other hand, will she ever again have a team as good as last year's NC team?

Oh boy. Here we go. The Orange crazies are going to immediately start clamoring for Tamika to coach the LVs. Even if it means they have mount an all-out Twitter bombing campaign and fabricate some trumped-up defamatory accusation against Holly the way they did to poor Greg Schiano.

Maybe not, but just the fact that her name has been linked to a coaching vacancy somewhere, anywhere, will only fuel the wishful thinking and the fire-Holly movement.

To this point she hasn't said she wanted to get into coaching. She knows the game but hasn't been a coach. I don't think that Chicago State would be a good place to start a coaching career. They have lost 59 consecutive games. Obviously something hasn't worked there.

Saw that on a Gonz aga message board. There were some rumors about it recently. Seems fairly shocking. She had a decent shot of becoming the schools all time leading scorer if she returned for her Sr. year. Didn't rule out the possibility of playing professionally but that didn't sound like her primary focus. Can't really remember hearing about a player of this caliber walking away from the game (well EDD of course, but she took a hiatus and returned).

Dawn said that sitting out two years (injury + transfer year) would not be a great student athlete experience for her. Being suspended a year for fighting at Tennessee would not be a great student athlete experience either.

What a bizarre argument. The NCAA will probably grant the waiver.

It is so rich to hear Holly today say how great USC would have been had her 2 transfer who won the Championship stay for this year. You hire mercenaries, they will move on for a better deal. This problem child of Tenn is just another thing she needs, so she picks her up. Team chemistry has never been high on Dawn's list.

Dawn has consistently fostered a very close knit situation with her players whether they are signed out of HS or they choose to come in as transfers. They’ve had team chemistry for days. As for Te’a Cooper, all evidence shows she’s having a blast at South Carolina with her new teammates and coach despite the fact she is not allowed to play in games.

Not huge news, but UW needs all the help they can get. I didn't realize she has a year of eligibility left. From a former walk on that barely played before this current season, she became their 3rd leading scorer, led the team in assists and was just under 40% from 3 point range.
