Or be a "tailgator"Nelson's go-to red herring: if you don't agree with him you must want to return to the AAC.

I don’t, but let’s say we can never get into a PX league. Our only option is the top g5 league. Which league would that be for us? For argument sake, it could be a reconstituted ACC, assuming the top 4-6 footballs teams are taken by the remaining P3.

My premise is I would rather have both. You just claim they are mutually exclusive realities based on nothing.
Who wants to return to the AAC?

Why don’t you put the conference realignment board on ignore if it’s so triggering to you? There must be some point to the endless whining by some posters about UConn's conference situation. Or are you saying that a big chunk of the posters would rather wallow in misery than enjoy a winning football season and both basketball teams being among the best in the country?

It’s far from just me and you are adjusting to it by replying…We’re allowed to discuss realignment as it relates to UConn on the realignment board even if it’s bad for your mental health. sorry not sorry. Why do I have to adjust to your complaining?
If the ACC gets its head cut off to that degree then I think you are more likely to see a Big East/ACC merger for basketball that drags UConn football along with it.I don’t, but let’s say we can never get into a PX league. Football would be better off in a remnant ACC - the schedule would be better in terms of top to bottom competition, would help home attendance, TV viewership would increase, etc.If the ACC gets its head cut off to that degree then I think you are more likely to see a Big East/ACC merger for basketball that drags UConn football along with it.
I'm not sure football is much better off in that situation, to be honest.
It definitely would be an improvement, but if that's the best we can do it'll be a pyrrhic victory.Football would be better off in a remnant ACC - the schedule would be better in terms of top to bottom competition, would help home attendance, TV viewership would increase, etc.
I don't think it fits the literal definition but I get your sentiment. It definitely would be an improvement, but if that's the best we can do it'll be a pyrrhic victory.
Well, this is a good point. Our inability to enjoy what we have which is truly extraordinary. When you have a hockey guy like me who can hardly watch the women who can only manage a first half tie at 42 with fifteenth ranked Tennessee then go on in the second half and blow them out by 30 and it ends with my jaw on the floor ... watching a sport I supposedly am not much of a fan of. What does that say? Same thing with the men at Creighton. Two nine win seasons back to back in FB. Both men's and women's hockey teams rank right up there. Let's worry about realignment and conferences next summer and enjoy the moment. There must be some point to the endless whining by some posters about UConn's conference situation. Anyone who disagrees with Nelson.Who wants to return to the AAC?
Tailgaters all!Anyone who disagrees with Nelson.
Debatable, but maybe "hollow victory" is better.I don't think it fits the literal definition but I get your sentiment.
Anyone who disagrees with Nelson.
Then why isn't this thread on that board?Nope. Just anyone that complains endlessly about the conference situation on the basketball board.
