Key tweets, and it's all gone to Hell.

Who can better position themselves in the G6? Ohio University is getting a lot of love. The defending MAC Champions, the Bobcats are 4-1 against the Big 12 in their last 5 games played after defeated WVU this past weekend.

The Ohio University Bobcat team with (Parker) Navarro at quarterback? They’re a good team. They might make the College Football Playoff,” McAfee said. “They had us completely in shambles out there. To be fair, West Virginia losing to Ohio — not fun. That was not cool. Ohio University, really good team.”

One of McAfee’s co-hosts described Ohio as “the ’Bama of the MAC,” to which McAfee replied: “Right now, definitely, and there’s a chance they make the College Football Playoff.”

I don't know if this is worth following but OU comes in at 8 while UConn is up to 12

They should start referring to themselves as THE Ohio University

The independent noose is tightening…

-> SEC teams are required to schedule at least one additional high quality non-conference from the Atlantic Coast, Big Ten or Big 12 conferences or Notre Dame each season. The SEC will continue to evaluate its policies to ensure the continued scheduling of high-quality non-conference opponents. <-

Probably, but it's still a claim no other school can make. That's pretty damn cool.

True and on the basketball boards it's neat to peacock around with that claim.

On the conference realignment boards under key tweets? Doesn't move the needle a bit for those UConn is trying to influence.

Well, if our hopes for conference realignment are hinged upon decision makers reading the key tweets thread, things are even worse for us than I thought.

Well...we gonna need to see about our schedule now, won't we? So far we have the following games planned against the all cretins conference:
2026: 3
2027: 4
2028: 4
2029: 2

They may magnanimously "grace" us with a game or two per season (to give their officials practice at making bogus calls), but we need to find other teams to play against ASAP...suddenly a scheduling arrangement with the newPAC might not be bad idea. Every day that all cretins conference just gives me more reason to detest them.

So the ACC will play two non P4 games.

One will most certainly be an FCS team and one other.

Bad day for the “schedule moar P4 programs crew”.
Before everyone thinks the sky is falling, I would assume they will start this is 2027. So, I looked at our ACC opponents, and, low an behold, it looks like they already planned for this. Bottom line is that most of the games appear safe for UConn.

Duke: Schedule meets the requirement for 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030 as they have 3 OOC games scheduled and have 1 P4 school already on the schedule.

Syracuse: Schedule meets the requirement for 2027 and 2028 as they only have 2 OOC games scheduled and 1 P4 already on the schedule.

BC: Schedule meets the requirement for 2029, 2030, 2031 as they have 2 or 3 OOC games during the years with a P4 already on the schedule each year.

Pitt: Schedule meets the requirement for 2027 and 2028 as they only have 2 OOC games scheduled and 1 P4 already on the schedule.

Wake: 2028 game and they have 4 OOC including 1 P4 so 1 will have to be dropped. Either ECU or UConn.

UNC: I would assume 2026 is safe, but 2027 could be an issue as they have 4 OOC games scheduled. UNC is playing 2 P4, UConn and North Alabama.

With revenue sharing based on rolling five year viewership, I assume ACC schools will talk to ESPN about matches that might garner the better time slots and network. ABC, ESPN being favored…than ESPN2 and down to ACCN and ESPN plus.

The sky isn’t falling. We just have to schedule more G6 games. That’s what this means.

With our future schedule it looks like those schools ACC programs were planning on UConn being a conference game

They can talk, but they'd be trying to wag the dog. ESPN will televise whichever games will draw the most viewership. It doesn't care what bcu or wake forest think

The ACC could always state that it considers UConn to be a power matchup, right? just like the Big Ten did several years ago

If they don’t want to blow up all of those schedules they will do this. Anything to not invite us to the club though

FSU scheduled H&H's with BAMA and Georgia..and has Notre Dame every other year from next year through 2036.... And Clemson signed a separate (non ACC) contract with the Irish to play every year.

Notre Dame has Clemson (9X), FSU (5X), and Miami (5X) from 2026-36. Playing brands builds your brand.
