And they will say that if you don’t like it then leave. We bring so much freaking value to the Big East, it is absolutely absurd we are sharing equally with the others.

Which we will eventually, at which point their stature diminishes greatly. You’d think they’d at least try to entice us to want to stay. And they will say that if you don’t like it then leave.
The conference they are without us is a mid major. I'm sorry to say it, but it's unfortunately true. Unless Cooley revitalizes Georgetown and unless Nova finds a way to do it without Wright, this conference is a mid major only...
I think everyone knows we are not going to stay in the BE forever, unless FB only conferences become a thing.Which we will eventually, at which point their stature diminishes greatly. You’d think they’d at least try to entice us to want to stay.
In August, he said that they were going to double it.He means “double your NIL donations”.
I don't know what he means by that, but LET'S GO!!!
That is something Benedict was willing to discuss.
“We’re going to double it next year, at least,” he said. “We’re going to pour gas on it. We’re going to win in football. I’m tired of being disrespected as a brand, nationally, because of football. And I get it. But the difference as we sit here today is we have NIL and revenue sharing now. And before, when we were a BCS affiliate with the old Big East, we could recruit differently. When that went away, it really impacted this university in a way that is probably unique because of the location. There are very, very good recruits here. But there are a limited number. And they all go, if you look at the top 10 every year, there’s one thing in common — all of them are going to power [conferences]. Whether NIL and revenue sharing will help us keep some of those kids will be determined, but we can recruit in a totally different way. We have an unbelievable university. We have great facilities. We have great coaches. And we’re going to start providing people with great opportunities in other ways.”

I believe he wasn't counting the CFP first round as a bowl game. I think the quarterfinals is technically where they begin to count as bowls - i.e. Notre Dame and Georgia will play in the "CFP Quarterfinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl", while the first round was a home game for ND.Kan't Murphy kount right? UConn and ND are 2-0 (until Georgia KOs ND). Maths ain't hard.![]()
