Fairness in college sports is dead. No other sports leagues in the world operate anything remotely like college does now.
 
Though the standard belief is that the contract extends through 2036, that’s not actually true. The deal ends in 2027. ESPN must elect by next February to opt in for another nine years. The ACC and ESPN have been in active negotiations over the extension, conversations that Phillips has described as “positive and productive.”

This is true, but that is mostly true because the NCAA declined to make NIL rules and instead suggested states pass their own legislation. States gladly stepped into the power vacuum. Georgia is just looking to push the boundaries of established precident.

Georgia judges power ends at the border. They can De-certify Georgia athletics and kick them out of Assocaiation (association means voluntary. The fact that people don't want to follow rules of association, then leave association.)

The judges, politicians and media.…ncaa is a voluntary org.

There is nothing stopping Georgia from starting another organization.

because that's what courts have been doing right along if you haven't been paying attention to the last 5 years. what do you think the house decision is?

Agree, 100% regarding this. The mess we find ourselves currently in is due to the NCAA punting on this issue under Emmert.

The organization hasn't been a friend of ours, and at this point, they've basically castrated themselves anyway. I won't complain if the whole thing goes up in flames.

No other country places so much time and money into college sports. I find it strange that middle age men are so keyed into 18 year old playing for “their” school. Colleges should devote their energy in creating the next Einstein not Lebron.

Not gonna lie. I'm a little worried about the Sun having to face the Fever in the first round (assuming the Sun finish off Chicago tonight) just because the WNBA has such a strong incentive to make sure Caitlin Clark hangs around as long as possible in the playoffs. I have a feeling a lot of Sun players are gonna find themselves in foul trouble very quickly.

All I can say is remarkable. My interest in the NBA is at an all time low. The WNBA doesn't even register as something that might be televised.

You're talking Hyundai Danta Cruz as compared to F-150, Silverado and RAM 1500.

You can look for revenue in the margins or gorge on bread and butter.
