You're joking right? My biggest fear is Kevin thinks he needs to prove his abilities as a College Coach and his teams beat us in some big NCAA games.
This is nonsense, JC has been all over in support of many non-basketball causes.
You don’t him very well. Maybe at all. I’m sure you’ve met him, but don’t confuse that with knowing him. Golf, theater, politics, cardiology...he’s passionate and very well versed in all of those subjects. He can love the game AND have a much broader set of interests than basketball. That you couldn’t break through that is on you.Other than family, if you don’t talk basketball with him you probably won’t have much of a relationship. He’s a HOF coach who loves the game.
Exactly right, Jim is a big Chill guy.Jim had a great relationship with chill some years ago. Perhaps he could be the one in waiting and not off the tree.
Calhoun retired for health reasons; 7 years ago.
Some of you are out of your minds.
Anyone who puts his faith in the top three has only met him at the annual Franciscan Life banquet. You’re wrong. He is indeed a proud Irish Catholic, but he has many other interests and concerns that would rank above his faith.Casual Fan Tolerance Day
In that spirit, I will begin by saying of course Jim has supported various charity both in regards to funding and in deeds. That has all been documented for decades.
He also follows politics or other current topics and can converse intelligently about them.
He also likes to go out with friends after a W and he will chat about golf.
However, the core of his life is family, faith and basketball. Anyone who doesn’t know that, doesn’t know him. Those are his passions.
You know what I mean chiefy......Exactly right, Jim is a big Chill guy.
Casual Fan Tolerance Day?
Who the h... are you to decide who is casual and who isn't. Who annointed you as the one to make that proclamation?
Those are behind him. It’s 2018, we need to be more enlighten about people who had health issues. It’s not a valid reason to hold them back from opportunity.
Faith is definitely in his the top 3, probably even ahead of basketball. His strong faith drives his charity work and his Father Flanagan persona trying to turn around player’s lives. While he is a proud Irish Catholic - his faith and the goodness of it can be related to by people of all denominations.. He is indeed a proud Irish Catholic, but he has many other interests and concerns that would rank above his faith.
It’s all relative. We called bumpy back then, would call for parades in the street today. Like Larry Brown at SMU, there are not many people who would not want to go play for Hall of Fame coach. That said there would have to be a plan in place where he’s committed for 3+ years with coaching waiting If we wanted to maximize it. But don’t think for a minute that we wouldn’t be ranked program again if Jim Calhoun came back.I seem to remember that the final years of Calhoun's tenure were a bit bumpy, between his age and health (negative recruiting) violations/bans and some underperforming teams.
It's time to move forward. Not JC and not someone from his tree.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who does not want JC back. The man is 75 years old. Our recently terminated coach was killed here as info came out that he was not the most ardent recruiter. Do you think JC is going to be flying all over the country killing it on the recruiting trail? I'd find it hard to believe. His legacy is nearly perfect. I don't want him coming back here to go .500 for two years so he can give the gig to another former player.
Hey look buddy. Knock yourself out. I know him MUCH better than you.Faith is definitely in his the top 3, probably even ahead of basketball. His strong faith drives his charity work and his Father Flanagan persona trying to turn around player’s lives. While he is a proud Irish Catholic - his faith and the goodness of it can be related to by people of all denominations.
What in the Fn world is going on in the the messages above? Are two third-parties seriously trying to prove what someone else’s top 3 life passions are? LMAO
God bless.Hey look buddy. Knock yourself out. I know him MUCH better than you.
Hint: It’s at least $1 more expensive than Geno’s CarFirst person to PM me the correct answer to the question, “what kind of car does JC drive” will win the title of Least Casual Fan.
Going all in...his first brand new car was a 1970 Plymouth DusterFirst person to PM me the correct answer to the question, “what kind of car does JC drive” will win the title of Least Casual Fan.
Was a Jaguar for a while.
I'll guess Lexus LS for current car.
Lol. Maybe not everyone is clear on the symbolism of Pilate washing his hands before the crucifixion? No tool.
The reference is to washing yourself clean from a decision process going forward.
