Looks like Cobb slimmed down

I feel a lot better observing this dude than the dude in the game @Matrim55 linked earlier in this thread.

The dude in that game made the poster's comparison to Rakim an insult to Rakim. Players drove by him quicker than a Ferrari and the Tallahassee players made the Cinci players look like they went slo mo around Steve and company.

The dude in that game made me believe KO got him so that:
People who slammed Amida and couldn't wait to see Amida leave would look back fondly and wish we had a fifth year of Amida.
People who want KO to yank someone's *sz out of a game were going to get an opportunity to watch him yank a yuuge one at that.
Or KO was going to design a trick play and have one of our players deflect an opposing team's star player into Cobb who would proceed to lose his balance and fall on said player, taking him out for the rest of the game - hence Fishy's descriptor of enforcer.

This dude looks like he might have some mobility. Hope someone can link this dude's game because that other dude couldn't run down other players to make an enforcement.

This is hard to say but Lubin looked better than this kid. Doesn't seem to have athleticism, lift, mobility. He's stuck in concrete out there. Off season miracles do not occur I've unfortunately learned as of late. He'll be a practice player, maybe a foul absorber. I always try to find a silver lining but we still need a big.

Have to disagree on Lubin. Looks like he has a grasp of the game, can pass it, can post up and has quicker feet when he uses them. Hopefully working harder under the tutelage of a high profile program will light a fire which he doesn't seem to have as a juco. Not completely sold on how much of an impact, but he will be more than the credit you give him I believe. We'll see though.

Just curious what you have watched that you feel this way. The game that matrim linked Cobb made a pillar look mobile.

only things he needs to do next year are be able to play almost a full game, rebound, not commit stupid fouls, pass, hit free throws, and move his feet defensively...

and dont have any freak injuries
Our injury problems have made you paranoid.:)

Ummm, it's the same dude.

If Cobb could get 6 and 8 each night and knock a couple Mustang and Bearcat's teeth in, that would be beautiful.

You realize that since Thabeet and Adrien left in 2009 there have only been to Huskies to eclipse 8 rebounds per game in a season?

Daniel Hamilton last year and Alex Oriakhi in 2011.

If the kid averages 3 and 4, we'd all be thrilled.

He look's to have dropped 30 pounds from the video of the game. If so would love to see how the slimmed down version works.

Looks like Cobb slimmed down

It's likely just the way he's standing, as he looks massive in the picture with his family taken the same day. Also, the video we've seen on him is all from the past 2 months, so how much could he possibly have slimmed down since January? Regardless, plenty of time to get into better shape before next year.

Doubt it, virtually impossible to tell from a picture. Clothing, angle of picture, posture etc. make it hard to tell. I highly doubt he all of a sudden got into shape in the past month.

I need to talk to him about my clothing, angles and posture. I'd love to look like I lost 30 pounds without the annoying diet and exercise!

Why is anyone getting excited about a JUCO big man that is slow, unathletic, and with worse defensive instincts than any big on our roster, which isn't saying much. He's insurance for Durham and Mamadou, that's all he really is. After the failed Sam I Am experiment do we really want anyone else from Chippola College. This has become Ollie's new pipelines to Storrs.

PS: We need a Roscoe lock down defender and rebounder on this team more than anything else. Ollie needs to focus on this not on another useless big who SMU/Cinci will dunk on or go right by to the rim.

Highly doubt he's worse than Enoch on defense.

JHCripes! We have one scholly left? Our need was a big time rebounder that can stay in the game more than 5 minutes without getting 2 fouls. Have we done that so far by adding Cobb? KO needs to get this last one right. Enoch is a foul machine, then Durham comes in, a string bean. Then Cobb? I see KO wanting to run a small team. A lot of the game no one taller than 6'8". Hope it works.

2 weeks ago: We don't want him. He's not good enough and too fat.

The day after he commits: Looks like he lost 30 pounds.

Classic Boneyard. I love it
I was hoping there was something to get excited about because after watching the game tape, I would rather have banked the schollie.
