Yep, what are the new numbers? And can you tell me how many games UConn has won since its last loss to Notre Dame? Aren't we something like 175 W- 2L? There was one winning streak stopped in Stanford, and then the next 111 win streak stopped by Mississippi State. And now the 16-0 streak this season.

I am joining the chorus of concern for @vowelguy. We miss you buddy.

Also of concern is the slump that Rutgers has slipped into. In their past 5 games, Rutgers has suffered 4 losses to Purdue, Penn State, Nebraska, and Indiana. C-Viv is now 6 wins shy of 1,000, but Rutgers may have a hard time winning more than 2 of their 7 remaining regular-season games. Five of those seven games are against Maryland (twice), Michigan, Ohio State, and Iowa.

That first lost was to Stanford, right? The last one to M-State?

So two losses in 180 games.

Since the loss to ND in the Big East tournament in 2013, UCONN is 178-2 (as of Sat., Jan. 27). Both losses were in OT.

That loss to ND in the BE tourney was a triple-overtime game in which Kaleena played all 55 minutes. We had leads of at least 5 in both the first and second OTs, but couldn't hold on. After that game, Geno said he would teach the team how to win a national championship. And he did. So, we won our final 6 that year.

The next year, with Stef and Bria as seniors, we blitzed to 40-0.

The second game of the following year, we again failed to hold a lead, went into OT as Amber Orrange banked in a trey, and lost in OT. The 47-game streak ended. But it provided motivation for the rest of the year. The team ran off 37 straight on the way to 38-1.

The following year, the Big 3 ran the table and set several records on the way. A 38-0 season put the streak at 75.

In 2016-17, an apparent rebuilding year, we won the first 36 before losing in the NCAA semi-finals at the buzzer in OT. The streak ended at 111.

This year, we have had close games with ND and Texas, but stand at 20-0.

The curious downturn of Rutgers: After its win over Penn State on Jan. 6, Rutgers was 16-2 on the season and looked to have at least a 75% chance of reaching the 23 wins needed to give CVS career win #1000.

Since then, however, Rutgers has gone 1-5, including a lopsided loss to Maryland in its last outing. And with 4 of their final 6 regular-season games against Michigan, Ohio State, Maryland, and Iowa, the Scarlet Knights may have a difficult time winning more than 2 more games before the Big Ten tourney.

If Rutgers has only 19 wins entering the Big Ten tournament, I don't like their chances of picking up 4 wins in the postseason.

Rutgers scores a huge win over Michigan today. This raises Stringer's odds of hitting 1000 this year to about 50/50, in my estimation.

Which got me thinking about the last lost they had in regulation. Doesn't go as far back as I thought but just b4 the BE turney they lost to ND 97-86 on March the 4. 2013! That was their last lost in regulation!

If they can stay undefeated thru this March that is FIVE YEARS of no losses in regulation. Minor overtime glicks I'd say in ND, STAN, and MISS ST

Rutgers overcomes a slow start at Wisconsin to post a 63-50 win behind a dominant second half.

Upon further review of the Big Ten standings and the Big Ten tournament bracket, I believe Stringer's odds of reaching 1000 this season are less than 50/50 at this point. A lot is riding on whether Rutgers can beat Iowa next Wednesday. If Rutgers can finish the regular season with wins over Iowa and Northwestern, they'll only need to win one game each in the Big Ten and NCAA tournaments. A loss to Iowa, though, would drop the odds precipitously, as it would likely require Rutgers to pull a significant postseason upset.

With Bentley's win tonight over St. Michael's, Barbara Stevens overtakes Hatchell for 4th place. UNC has lost 5 straight since its upset over Duke.
