Really, really like this kid's game... This would be a huge get as he's a pure point. Reminds me of 'Bazz a little bit; very shifty, clever but obviously bigger and a bit more athletic.

I said that earlier, shoots it like him exactly and has more athleticism.

I think he will be just as good, if not better, than MAL.

.-.
. He would be a nice quick fix to take the sting away from losing MAL. Chillious hopefully can help make this happen but don't like that crystal ball pick 75% sparty. and N.C.State gets 25%. Still optimistic if not Blake that we can still snag some good player's and I do think Chillious..will be a really good coach and recruiter for us and we need him now.

I keep reading his name like that Key and Peele skit....."Balakay" lol
Same. I can never not hear it--and say it--whenever the name is mentioned now ever since that skit. Poor guy named Blake at the New Year's Eve party we attended this year. We never stopped all night and he had never seen the skit.

Same with D-nice.

I'm hoping for more of a mako shark kind of player. One that eats big fish as well as small fry.
Sarah Palin was known as "Sarah Baracuda" in her basketball days.

Chillious recruited him while at UW. I think we have inside track here. Michigan State has more guards on the roster than us, and they may have a commit from another freshman, Mark Smith, before Harris even visits.

Very impressive highlight tape. Dont see much if any drop off from makai. We shall see

You don't be able to see much drop off between a high 4* and a low 4* in a highlight tape. But I do like this kid and hope we can land him. Got a little toughness to him it seems.

.-.
Effortless athleticism in that mixtape. I was surprised how quick and easy it was for him to elevate to the rim. Tight handle too and it looked like he had some good vision. Appears to have a cleverness with the ball we haven't seen in a guard since Shabazz.

He's strangely athletic.

He looks like Shabazz Napier going in for a layup, except the ball gets tomahawked instead.

Very effortless.

Great minds think alike, eh @Fishy?

Let me third that. Dude elevates seemingly effortlessly. Also creative with the pass.

It's a highlight reel but I want to land this kid.

I like his creativity with the ball. That's what I see being most shajazz-like. It's those plays where you're like "huh, I couldn't think of that move sitting on my couch, and he's running at full speed" that might mean he's turnover prone, especially when comp gets faster. Similar to our better PGs as they mature in that way, maybe.

His handle is not D1 ready. It's by his shoulders half the time in traffic, and his footwork with the ball in his hands is funky. I wouldn't be surprised if that is what has affected his rankings. This is the biggest difference between him and bazz other than size. Shabazz had a nasty handle in high
School.

and I wonder how consistent his shot is. A little bit low and funny looking, but serviceable for a coach to fix.

Size, athleticism and court vision are certainly a good starting point. Handles and shooting are two of the easier things to fix if he's willing to put in work

I agree that his passing is very similar to Shabazz but he attacks the rim stronger and has much better hops. Even a couple of threes reminded me of Shabazz. I don't like to get my hopes up especially lately but I'd be thrilled if we sign him.

That's almost exactly what I was thinking... It's like a Shabazz game with, I dno, Ben Gordon effortless explosiveness.

I haven't seen or heard much of him before, but I must say I like the smoothness of his game and then add his sneaky athleticism.

Wow I know it's a highlight tape but that was extremely impressive. Like fishy said honestly reminds me a more athletic bazz.

A guy who actually had that would be top 5 in the class. That said, I think he would be a great addition. Just what we need.

He committed pretty early to Washington, so maybe that knocked down the buzz on him a bit.

The offers were pretty good - Florida State, Cincy, Clemson, Memphis, LSU, Miami, etc.

For some reason, I tend to favor the ESPN recruiting rankings and they've got him just inside the top 100.

If they can land him, given that he's a bit bigger and seems to be more of an offensive threat, that would really go a long way to erasing the MAL damage.

2.44 AST/TO ratio and 9.46 AST per 40 min in EYBL play. Pretty impressive for the level of competition he faced.

Give him a year of practicing against Jalen and Alterique and that should be alleviated a bit.
