If I were the AD, I'd like to have a very intense conversation about why this happened and why I wasn't brought in on the leak before it became a flood.
If you were the AD, you wouldn't have been impersonating Nero who fiddled while Rome burned. You would have been down in Q's office as soon as the 3 transfer hit the portal to talk about what was going on and by the time the 5 name hit the enter button of the Portal website, you would have held a team meeting without Q around to hear the concerns...Just sayin'

As someone here has already noted, 5 of the players are fifth year players who got the Covid year. 4 others had been suspended.

Vols just added the Sun Belt POY from the Troy team that almost beat Texas AM. They now got a decent top 6.

She transferred 2 times in 2 weeks!

Ariyah Copeland went from Alabama to LSU and now Arizona in the past 2 weeks. Time for the NCAA to tighten up eligibility. IMO....graduates with remaining eligibility should have been given immediate eligibility to go wherever they please with no penalty. Everyone else could get an extra year with immediate eligibility if they REMAINED on the current team. If they changed teams...they should have made them sit out a year. It's not like the entire season was cancelled. The latter would make kids think seriously about jumping ship. While some teams may benefit...very few of these kids will. There's too much volatility...and the current NCAA ruling will allow this to continue for some time. By the summer...half of Uconn players could be gone. This will end up being just a game of ...."bad musical chairs" for many of these players.

Ok, we're on a linear progression here. Sometimes one builds on what is first said and then another comments on round two. Common form of brainstorm process. You're on the late shift on this post, so that's the next step. Well done. ;)

If there was no COVID and five seniors merely graduated and 4 others who were suspended left there would be some concern about rebuilding but no one would be blaming Q. In fact he would normally be admired for having the guts to suspend players going into the post season. But people see "12 TRANSFERS" and suddenly there should be an investigation?
I'm positive that the AD knew about all the transfers as they happened.

The point about the 5 seniors has been accounted for in other posts. Having the guts to suspend players, I'm not so sure. Playing devil's advocate, having to suspend 4 players simultaneously is concerning to me. I may not have an extensive memory for NCAAW history but I don't recall hearing of a program having to suspend that many players at one time.

While I understand your point to an extent, losing two key juniors who were starters, along with your star freshman who a few days ago seemed like she was staying with the program causes me to raise an eyebrow. Especially with the class that is coming in. It may not have been as much as a rebuilding project had Cardoso decided to stay another season.

There haven't been any claims made public, unlike other programs (e.g. Detroit Mercy), so time will tell if there really is an issue. At the same time though, I believe it's fair that some have asked the question some of it seems very odd.

As I posted earlier..
Personally I can't wait until next year is gone. While interesting as an outlier the extra year of eligibility and massive number of transfers will make a mess of things imo

The suspended players all attended a prohibited football team party.

And given the turmoil those suspensions must have created within the team it's not surprising to see a couple of other players decide to just go away. I wonder how the 4 got caught? Did maybe a team mate report them? The dynamics of those suspensions went far beyond those 4 players.

As I posted earlier..
What makes you think next year will be different?
There will be another crop of seniors who have a year of eligibility remaining and a desire to get another free year of schooling. That was the case this year and will be for the next 3 years.

Hadn't heard the reason why they were suspended. That's very unfortunate and I see your point regarding how the dynamics within the team could have changed.

I also hadn't heard the reason.
This is a very good reason in the middle of general covid precautions and just prior to an expected NCAA bid where a violation of bubble protocol would cause a team to forfeit.
Think how this board would react if we learned a team member had decided to go to an off-campus party during the season, having been told it was not to be done.

The roster limit

The roster limit
I havent heard of any team loading up on transfers to get above 15.
And isnt it just as likely that teams could push 5th years into the portal, saying they dont want them back.

Honestly I don't expect much out of her at this point. Too much moving around w/ absolutely zilch to show for it so far. Who would've guessed a McD's AA would end up at a bottom feeding Big Sky school? Nobody, that's who.

Has she even played yet?
