Big difference between being a walk-on QB vs. any other position on the field.
Brandon Weedon walked on for OSU and Baker Mayfield for Tex Tech and then OU. I'd take that bout now.

The message was sent to Shirreffs when Edsall and Lashlee brought in 3 qb's in a recruiting class including 1 Juco transfer! The message is being sent to Shirreffs. Stop staring down receivers and spread the ball. Or sit.
All the more opportunity for Bisack to prove us naysayers wrong..Hey. Johnny Mac beat Louisville. Realistically though it is pretty unlikely that the starter will be a walkon. Guessing he is getting reps because of Williams injury and hey, you need somebody.

Tulane 2014 is when I sent a letter to Warde calling for Diaco to be fired.
And that may be why BS doesn't start in this offense, and others are getting a look. It still feels like Pindell was hand picked by this staff to run this offense.Neill Ostrout: Receiving corps now wide open for UConn football
>>Wide receiver Noel Thomas’ record-setting season for the UConn football team in 2016 will not be duplicated any time soon. That’s not because under new offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee and “new” head coach Randy Edsall, the Huskies are going to throw the ball any less. Perhaps, the opposite will be true. But UConn certainly will aim to spread the ball around a little more in 2017 and going forward.<<
>>“We want to have everybody be a go-to guy, not just one guy,” Edsall said Tuesday after the Huskies’ 10th practice of their spring schedule. “The quarterbacks have to know that this offense is going to be predicated on finding the open receiver, making the correct reads.”<<
breath of fresh air knowing this... just need the right guy under center who has the ability to make the "pre-snap" reads along with the reads after the ball is snapped. I think Shirreffs might've struggled with that, but, at the same time, that previous regime did not do a good job putting in an effective offense...Neill Ostrout: Receiving corps now wide open for UConn football

Of course it's true. Diaco is more of a cult leader than football coach. Typical cult leader stuff, not letting "outsiders" into your inner circle.
Wow....playing Bisack with the ones sounds like more than sending a message. Sounds like he is really in the mix.
