Counterpoint. They keep expanding to more locations. The lines and rules are because the place is just still too busy. Pre-buying tickets online speeds the pour process. You don't see lines at Sandwich because they cap capacity. Weekdays in the winter? No problems. As for the 3 drink...

Naukabout had live music on Saturday. This was the second band. It's a fun spot. Cape Cod Beer is worth visiting too. The beer is just so-so (although some better stuff there than you see in stores) but the outside area is nice and they often have live music as well.

It's not crowded, because the reservation system ensures that the people are limited. Parking is scarce, so they have to limit it. Plenty of room and lots of picnic tables. That said, July 4th weekend the reservations may go very quickly. I'd say give it a shot, if you get a reservation it...

    Beer

I don't think it has much impact. Going to the brewery is an event. Fort Hill has a fantastic location and the beer is indeed, average, which is fine. Abandoned Building has a cool location, and above average beer. Will people looking for cans stop at Treehouse? Sure. But for a fun day or...

    Wine thread

It makes sense to me, if it is allowed. I will say there is a growing crossover between the craft beer crowd and the recent cocktail culture focused on better ingredients and classic drinks. Just recently Treehouse Brewing announced a new distillery. General 2 — Tree House Brewing Company...

    Wings + Rolling Rocks?

Indeed. I thought of your Wednesday afternoon trek before a big win on the road. Proving that Treehouse is not the Ollie era beer, it's the right now mojo beer.

Just checked the lineup, they have fantastic stuff today. Super Treat, King Julius, Very Green, JJJULIUSSS, On the Fly. Wow.

I bought Juice Freak and like it. I also bought the Subterranean Homesick Brew. I like it a little better than Juice Freak. Lately, when I go to the store it's just overwhelming how many IPAs and DIPAs are in the cooler. My thought was, I want Cold Harbor to survive Covid lockdowns, so I'll...

Depends on what you like. They sell mixed cases that constantly change. They have now added a few four packs. That's important because some of the all IPA/DIPA mixed cases are amazing, but then you get no stouts or brown ales or anything like that. So you can supplement with a 4 pack. Or if...

When was the last time you went out?

Trillium has a great process too. Pre-order in the morning. They give you a time you can pick it up and an Order #. You pull in, a guy about 30 feet away asks your order #, radios in that you are there. You are directed to station 1 or 2 and the beer is there. You load and drive off. They...

I consider Bear and Old Man two of their best beers. Brown ale and ESB

    Beer

Trillium makes superb stouts, porters and is known for their outstanding sour beers and Saisons. That's what they started with. Their signature beer "Trillium" is a Saison/Farmhouse beer. Treehouse makes a great ESB (Old Man), and probably the best Brown Ale I've had, Bear. Their stouts...

    OT: Death Storm 2018 Watch

Ooh...that's my favorite. Such a pain in the ass to get though.

You will wait. Open is the busiest time. You can check here to see what it is like or what beers they have. Tree House Brewing Company (October 2017)

    Beer

Not yet. I can ask on Beer Advocate and see how the line and availability are now. I've been waiting until it becomes a more Trillium like experience. It's hard to drive out there for 12 beers that may or may not be sold out.

    Beer

Why is that not a surprise. I can verify that the new Trillium Fort Point with Motueka hops is very good. Not my favorite though.

Treehouse is too much of a pain in the ass. I've got or can get Trillium and Alchemist though. Where are you in KS? I need to send some to a law school friend in Lenexa eventually.

Don't know if you guys are on Untappd or Instagram, but Amy from "herewithbeer" is my favorite beer cutie.

Another reason why I'm switching to bourbon and Scotch. Tired of this rat race (I know whiskey has its own version).

    Beer

I find this to be true for IPAs, but not so much for other stuff. Stouts, porters, brown ales, Scotch Ales, Strong Ales, Belgian and German styles are all as good or better at the store. That said, I may be making a Treehouse run on Wednesday. :)

    Beer

Treehouse is a bargain at the price. 12th of Never is the best inexpensive beer I've ever had. Really cheap in 12 packs of cans ($16) and and excellent beer.
  23. HuskyHawk

    Beer

You buy the max amount of whatever they sell. Nobody waits for an hour and half and buys less than the full allocation. They only ever have two beers on Wednesday anyway.
