Another coaching position has been filled. Vegas losing several of their ACs this season it seems.
I wish him well, but he has a 13-win standard to beat in year One.

We shall see. I wish him well (previous post) but anything shy of 13 wins in year One, he should get the hook. The Sky GM(s) set the standard.Seems Tyler Marsh has been keeping track of Angel Reese for a few years, based on this article.
(In this instance, he was drawing a correlation between her footwork and shot success.)
A solid developmental coach would strike me as essential for AR, Kamilla Cardoso and, yes, Chennedy Carter.
I don't think the GM hired Weatherspoon though. He was hired afterwards if memory serves correct. He'll likely get some grace with this hire since he made the decision. We shall see. Coach White returning back to her home state. Good move. Man she won a title at Purdue. If she messes around and wins a WNBA title at Indiana! OMG!!
Linn Dunn.Who was the coach when Indiana won their title?
And in other news, water is wet.![]()
Also interesting that two of Becky Hammon's assistant coaches the past few years will be head coaches in the W in 2025 -- Tyler Marsh (Chicago) and Natalie Nakase (Golden State).Seems Tyler Marsh has been keeping track of Angel Reese for a few years, based on this article.

Backwards? Sure Miller's time in LA sucked but he had some success as a GM in Connecticut. Compared to what the previous GM in Dallas did, I don't see how they could do worse.![]()

Wings fans? Do you see this as a step forward or collapse backwards?
I guess I'm of what have you done for me lately. Kind of a low bar to say couldn't do worse than the previous GMBackwards? Sure Miller's time in LA sucked but he had some success as a GM in Connecticut. Compared to what the previous GM in Dallas did, I don't see how they could do worse.
For "what have you done for me lately", Miller was the GM when Connecticut made the WNBA finals in 2019 and 2022. He must have made some good decisions in putting those squads together.I guess I'm of what have you done for me lately. Kind of a low bar to say couldn't do worse than the previous GM
Whoa. Does this mean she's done with being an AC in Minnesota?
I've attached the release from Ohio State:
- Sure looks like Katie Smith is returning to OSU as a full-time assistant coach after multiple years as associate head coach at Minnesota.
Really interesting move given that one would've thought she'd be up/open to a few of the head coach jobs currently open in the WNBA.
Looks like the allure of coming "home" was important to her.
- On top of that, Jacy Sheldon will take on director of development for the Buckeyes and like KLS and a few others, I'm sure she'll continue with her WNBA career.

One statement that caught my attention with Tyler Marsh's introductory press conference. I like the fact he's open to players like Williams shooting 3s if they can do it.
Hence why I said "if they can do it". I don't see the harm in working on expanding range, however there has to be some realistic expectations as to who should and who shouldn't take the shot.Last time I remember a coach encouraging folks who'd tried two 3-pointers in 10 seasons was 2020 in New York. Walt Hopkins had everyone, including Kiah Stokes, launching threes. They went 2-20.
I'm not saying it can never work, but citing Williams really seems to be stretching it to me.

Agreed. Seeing that this is one of his main points of emphasis is great to see. Shooting accuracy wasn't great for Chicago as a whole. He worked wonders with Jackie Young and her shooting technique. She went from an average W player to one of the best two way guards in the worlds.
What did you post? It shows "Not Found" when I view it.
