What is the thought process here? Has to sit out a year for this.....bizarre.

Even if he didn't start at UConn this year he would have received tons of minutes on a (potentially) good team.

Yup! Can't disagree.

Israel, Rutgers, somebody better take geography lessons.

If I was a conspiracy theorist I'd say Goodman reads The Boneyard, saw some of us were just starting to get some hope and he felt the need to crush us. But we all know Goodman loves UConn so this silly thought can't be accurate.

He clearly didn't like being here. Neither did Enoch and Durham.

And this goes a long way in explaining this past season and why Vance's friend showed interest in UConn.

Maybe dad is desperate, Vance is torn, some face saving statements and action by family.

Dad is not going to admit desperation. And Vance is going to support dad. No wonder kid looked down all season.

I was confused when people lumped Vance with Steve and Juwan regarding defense. Unlike those two I felt Vance improved on D. Not as much as Christian but quite decent.

None of us are likely to learn the entire story, at least for now, but there is absolutely no way a good friend of Vance's shows KO consideration if Vance had major problems with KO or if the worse characterizations of KO being proposed are true.
One of my most hopeful posts shot to pieces in less time than it takes to put on Enya and open a bottle of wine. Good grief.

Let's hope Daniels doesn't follow him to that cesspool.
I hope not. Daniels can star a UConn with his skill set and the position he plays. He has pro aspirations, while vance really doesnt

Can Vance Sr get him signed by BBB? Lavar might be looking for another perennial allstar to add to his label that is poised to take down Nike in just a few short months

I think you mean pro potential. Vance definitely has pro aspirations, he just is going to have a tough time getting there if he doesn't measurably improve his lateral speed.

What high level D1 player doesn't have pro aspirations? Don't want to let you off the hook too easy - but I assume you meant prospects here.
Yes yes i did. Lol thanks

Looks like dad's put Vance on a journey with no clear destination. He could have carved out a pretty good spot on the court this year if he hung in. Gotta do your thing but it helps to have a realistic plan. Oh well, can we get Daniels in please or have they poisoned the well?

Not gonna lie. This is kinda funny. If this is the only type of interest he gets (not saying it will be), then nobody else is seeing him as that good. And it's defense they're looking at. Zero good teams see him as a 3 I'm willing to bet.

Maybe Vance will go on this visit and realize Uconn is the best fit for him. He couldn't have been blown away by Baylor or vise versa. Maybe he will decide to stay and have his buddy Devon join. Wishful thinking I know but I keep hoping for something positive.

I don't think Ollie would take Jackson back. Even though we're thin, it would set a bad precedent. You can't leave to explore your options, then just choose to return if our market isn't what you expected it to be.

Ollie would and should take him back in a heart beat. He's in no position to take a hard moral stance here. We need big bodies and shooters.

All that is moot though because he's not coming back.

Only on the Boneyard can a no-star player dunking on farm boys be our missing link while a 245-pound, 6'8" freshman with three-point range has no shot at an NBA career.

We're a looney bin.

You would think that after a pretty promising freshman campaign there would be a ton of interest in Vance and he could pick and choose among several possible destinations. Why is it so quiet about him? There doesn't seem to be as much interest as I thought there would be.
