The negative recruiting can exist with this, though... While we know it not to be true, I'd say 75-85% of the country thinks KO won only because he had JC's players. Couple that with some of the issues re: transfers, coaching movement, a bad conference, diminishing relevance, and a painful style of play and we have an uphill climb to convince players that we are still legitimate. Hence, the rumor that our coaches are not recruiting hard enough is particularly maddening.

A commitment would go a long way toward de-risking the program. Gilbert-Daniels-Vital would be a capable 2019 backcourt.

Kid may have liked the thought of being a Husky and then spoke to Vance and his dad. You would wish kids had their own minds but they don't they listen to their "bro's" and a little too much. A kid who wanted to make his own decision would say "but if he's such a bad coach why did a kid like you get so many minutes your freshman year because heck you can't even guard a chair?"

Hopefully he's smart enough to listen to his tough friend Jalen, and not his soft friend Vance. He'll likely start for us all 3 years and be on some really good UConn teams.

Not to get anyone's hopes up, but has anyone else noted that since about 3-4 weeks ago we have heard nothing on where Vance could end up? Enoch obviously moved very quickly and Durham was at Notre Dame over the weekend, but we have not heard a peep on Vance since meeting with Baylor a month ago. Just sayin...
