Was he cleared by the NCAA?
He either was cleared by the NCAA or wasn't cleared by the NCAA. We know that for sure.

He wasn't planning on a coup d'etatChief gettin' nervous. Making mistakes.
Good point - why would someone tease something negative like that? If I found out I was getting laid off at work, I wouldn't tell my wife I had a surprise to tell her when we get home haha.
Neither would be a university policy issueSome issue with amatuer status etc? Taking impermissible benefits. Who knows really.
You got to be kidding that recruiting threads don’t veer off into various related topics. As I just stated, who you expect to have impacts who you recruit and the numbers. It’s all connected.
I didn’t know he had been cleared by the NCAA.Neither would be a university policy issue
If he is cleared by the NCAA, wasn't arrested, and academically eligible that leaves what?
Perhaps he failed a school drug test?
What could a player possibly do 1-year ago that
A) Comes out 6-months later? and
B) could cost a player the whole season?
Surprise #2?Impregnates the Provost's wife?

If it were criminal would it be public information?Typically getting caught breaking the law warrants some kind of repercussion, yes.

This is more outrageous than the Drummond nonsense
Your NCAA eligibility is fluid. You can become "uncleared" as it were when new info is discovered.
This seems to be the most likely reason. Schools don't have to test but they can. Usually the penalty is less harsh if the school catches you. If you fail an NCAA drug test for recreational drugs it's a half season suspension. If you fail a school drug test it can be whatever they want but they have to apply it consistently. If he is cleared by the NCAA, wasn't arrested, and academically eligible that leaves what?

Preseason summed upGavin Keefe is at practice now. Not getting my hopes, but maybe some clarity will follow.
@intlzncster , did you know that you can respond to multiple posts in the same reply by simply hitting the "+Quote" icon in each post to which you want to reply, and then inserting them all in the same post, with your replies under each?

Cool. Just looking out for your like-to-post ratio, brah.Yes, but thank you. I usually only do that when they are related. Discussions tend to get too muddled for me otherwise. I like to keep the replies short and sweet if I can.

I gave up a long time ago on that. I post too many dumb one liners that are amusing for me and maybe like two other people, but nobody else. Makes me chuckle at least.
I'm a function over form guy in just about all things.
