Sad news regarding CAHusky

Wow, I can't believe CAHusky is gone. Very sad day. Way too young for this to happen. I remember we almost met up at the Maui tournament once. Somehow we didn't meet due to schedule conflict, but I have spoken to the man on the phone.

Very sad day for someone to go so young. It really hits home since many of us are around his age.

Oh my God. That’s just shocking. This one really hits home. Way too young. So sad. This is tragic. My heart goes out to his friends and family.

Yeah, I’m probably overdue for this. Thought I’d meet some yarders in Charleston but it was almost impossible to figure out who might be one. Plus I‘m 53 so this news is particularly sobering.

Woof what shocking news. To those close to him may the sentiments expressed here show you how CAHUsky touched people even in a place that exists in the ether.

Im not remotely a religious man so I’ll simply say your time here was not wasted - you clearly made an impact. We should all be that fortunate.

Was checking the weather and looks like there might be a big storm coming in tue-Sat...thinking about coming out for a long weekend. Haven't been in tahoe in over 20 years...Have stayed in S. Lake Tahoe and Incline Village past trips. Is S. Lake Tahoe still the place to stay? Or are we...

Damn, in March he was helping me out with Squaw tips. I offered to buy him dinner for the help, but didn't get to meet up with him.

Here's to everyday in heaven being a bluebird pow day. Ski in peace my friend.

He came walking in with his UConn hoodie like a man on a mission and he gave me a knowing look, so I thought he was a Yarder and I leaned towards him as he was walking by and I said "Bass?" He looked at me like I was nuts, but then he must have figured I asked if he was a fan, because he finally said "Big fan. Wish I was in Charleston." Then he walked right by and I thought that was that. Well apparently he thought we bonded because he came back and started asking me which TV was going to have the game on, and then he started obsessing and going crazy like we saw. The frenzied hair scratching was something else.

So...I think my initial mistake made him latch on to us. I'm kind of amazed he doesn't post here--or maybe he does...

The Boneyard is considerably less funny and inciteful. CAHusky was a huge contributor where on all aspects of life - Husky Hoop or OT.

Agreed, he disappeared after that post, I was on that and wondered what was up. he lived near my son's place in Tahoe. Enjoyed posting with him and had hoped to meet up at Garwoods!

So sorry to see this news. He was always a great poster with some clever quips and interesting news from the West Coast. You will be sorely missed my friend...51..damn..way too young..condolences to his family.
