UCF maybe, but Cincy and Houston have no shot. OSU will not let Cincy join the Big 10, and they are never going to the ACC. Houston has no shot with the Big 12 because of Texas, and the SEC will pluck Oklahoma or Texas before it takes Houston.

UConn is #4 on that list - Big 10 made it VERY clear that they don't think we have the NYC market which is why they took freaking Rutgers over us. The ACC has made it clear twice now that we are never getting in because BC will always veto, and FSU/Clemson has verbally said that they will bolt if the league adds UConn.

Yes, doesn’t make your post any less ridiculous. BC, VT and Miami were never “power” schools like you called them in BB. BC was the best of that lot. Think about that. Try winning a game on the road at Creighton, Marquette, Xavier, and Butler then get back to me. Trust me on this, the kids on this team are going to love playing in front of a packed house at Hinkle. This is a BB conference period with teams with actual fan bases. You will see, Hartford and Gampel will be rocking again and when you walk into MSG on a Thursday in March you will wonder how you lived without it. Ask @whaler11 he went this year.

None of them are going to the P5. They might go to a reconstituted rump B12 absent Texas and OU but they aren't going to a P5 conference. They don't add enough value to justify the add.

Nova would want their own FCS team in the conference if we tried to create some big east/land of misfits football conference.

You can be pissed about the football program but it’s stupid to say this will hurt recruiting in basketball. Kids would rather play in the big east, it’s just a fact. Recruiting wasn’t what dug UConn in this hole anyway, but it will be easier to get top 50 types now.

We haven’t even found out the football team’s fate, but it’s good to know we have so many geniuses here that know for a fact that UConn is killing itself. If only you were in charge of the athletic department.

We’ll see how the next few years go.

Yes, and we finally kicked ESPN to the curb!! We showed that we're willing to walk away, shows self-respect and earns respect from others. Let's see what FOX and SNY can do for us!

I guess this is the big unanswered question. And for the Hoops only contingent, it DOES matter how this plays out.
