I have no idea. The conference has been improving over time. Memphis has the #1 class.Do you believe Hurley took this job believing he would be coaching in the AAC?

Amazing.Georgetown and St Johns boards are ecstatic. Providence board is very confused/conflicted.

This is a positive for every Uconn sport, except football
I'd look for Fox to play a role here. They too need UConn as part of their television product. $10 MM isn't an issue when the TV networks are pulling the strings. UConn's contributions won't be much in the financial calculus of this negotiation. You think donors won’t shell out to get us to the NBE?
Blown out of proportion. Things have to take time. We're really 0-whatever with the ACC due to legacy programs. But to think the Big Ten has been interested in us and we run to the Big East is mind blowing. What are we, 0-5 with P5 invites? ACC x3, Big Ten, Big 12.
Is the big East involved in any conference challenges?
The conference's highest ever seed was a 3, once. The conference has had one non-UConn Sweet 16 team. AAC basketball is trash.I have no idea. The conference has been improving over time. Memphis has the #1 class.

Marquette board is ecstatic too. Generally positive feedback from all Big East boards.Georgetown and St Johns boards are ecstatic. Providence board is very confused/conflicted.

If anything this move helps create more expansion. If the AAC adds a real/competent football program and continues their push to the playoff, and UConn is revitalized and helps lead a dominant NBE, I'm not sure the P5 will be idle. I'm sure UConn will be screwed of course, but I'd rather be in the NBE than the AAC in that scenario. There is no evidence the Big Ten has been interested in us.
So the independent football team now gets to go to the powerhouses 4 times a year and get slaughtered for a payday as opposed to getting slaughtered in the East Carolina rain in front of 6250 fans on CBS Sports Network. Makes sense.

Butch has posted it so many times he now thinks it's true. There is no evidence the Big Ten has been interested in us.
What an insult to the fans. Small minded losers make small minded loser decisions. I’m done with UConn is they go that route.

I think most of these people just missed the memo that the P5 was never going to come calling after already missing out on 5 rounds of realignmentPeace
Because they don't show it publically...There is no evidence the Big Ten has been interested in us.
I think last years game was in a torrential rain. All correct except ECU draws way better than 6300 for football.
If they were smart they'd move the vote to Monday and Tuesday respectively now that it's out thereI'm bad at copying and pasting tweets but according to Matt Nolander of CBS Sports...expected that this will be announced officially at MSG next Thursday. A call is scheduled for early next for Big East Presidents to ratify deal. UConn BOT is supposed to vote on this on Wednesday. That could be moved up though.
