Fox is moving out of the college football business
I don't think he trolls, I think he just doubles down on stupidYou are just trolling I hope
Did you read the post I replied to?BC, Miami, VT??? Butch, this is a basketball conference and most resumes of all schools outshine these once in a blue moon schools where BB is down the totem. Every single school in the BE basketball is king. UConn is no different despite what you want to believe
Just thankful that we're a year away from never having to see that American logo on a UConn uniform again
What? Temple would leave when they've had great success. Sure.If Army signs on, Navy may follow. Add UMass. Nova upgrades. Perhaps Temple bails and joins the Big East in all sports. That's six for a small football conference.
But Omaha is actually pretty cool.Everyone join me in hating Creighton now! They are the absolute worst. Cheaters, players are punks, and rich entitled preppy fans in sweater vests.
Proactive. UCF, Cincinnati and Houston are heading to P5s soon.Even if you are not happy about this move, how can you not be excited about the fact that for ONCE, we actually were in control of where we landed. Our leadership finally got off their butts and did something proactive instead of wasting away in the abyss of not knowing where our next destination is.
wasnt UCF awarded a national championship? lol...We will be taking the American conferences only NC's with us, gotta love that.
UCF maybe, but Cincy and Houston have no shot. OSU will not let Cincy join the Big 10, and they are never going to the ACC. Houston has no shot with the Big 12 because of Texas, and the SEC will pluck Oklahoma or Texas before it takes Houston.Proactive. UCF, Cincinnati and Houston are heading to P5s soon.

Fishy was his usual condescending, arrogant self...Must have been picked on as a kid..Boneyard tough guyNot so sure I agree w that. When I passed on what I heard from the Prov guy, who is very real and very connected, he damn near called me a fool.
Who’s the fool now?
Yes, doesn’t make your post any less ridiculous. BC, VT and Miami were never “power” schools like you called them in BB. BC was the best of that lot. Think about that. Try winning a game on the road at Creighton, Marquette, Xavier, and Butler then get back to me. Trust me on this, the kids on this team are going to love playing in front of a packed house at Hinkle. This is a BB conference period with teams with actual fan bases. You will see, Hartford and Gampel will be rocking again and when you walk into MSG on a Thursday in March you will wonder how you lived without it. Ask @whaler11 he went this year.Did you read the post I replied to?

Go to Gorat’s.In Omaha right now. Not what I expected. Fun place. Great NY pizza spot too, and Arbys galore.

Nova would want their own FCS team in the conference if we tried to create some big east/land of misfits football conference.Nova won't want Temple in the BE.
You can be pissed about the football program but it’s stupid to say this will hurt recruiting in basketball. Kids would rather play in the big east, it’s just a fact. Recruiting wasn’t what dug UConn in this hole anyway, but it will be easier to get top 50 types now.Recruiting will be worse. The so-called Big East is a small-time conference. Uconn waved the white flag on big-time athletics today.
More like we wish we had a football program. If I learned anything reading through these 35 pages it was that UConn has a football program.
Yes, and we finally kicked ESPN to the curb!! We showed that we're willing to walk away, shows self-respect and earns respect from others. Let's see what FOX and SNY can do for us!Even if you are not happy about this move, how can you not be excited about the fact that for ONCE, we actually were in control of where we landed. Our leadership finally got off their butts and did something proactive instead of wasting away in the abyss of not knowing where our next destination is.
For the people who think they are going to shut down the football program, what do you think they're going to do? Bulldoze The Rent? Be serious. Football is going nowhere. And they wouldn't have done this if they didn't know they can stay D1. I assume they have a plan for football even beyond that. And only when they secured a plan for football did they decide they could go ahead and do this for basketball. I mean they may be dumb but they're not THAT dumb.
Of course Houston is, what, the third most popular team in Houston so...Uh. Houston is the 4th largest city in the US.
