This is not popular on this site but we do not have the pull we had. Aac, missing the tourney, ollie, etc. We where on the path to blue blood and we are a so so mid major
We aren't what we used to be, and we've played like a low major the last few seasons.
But we are not a mid major program, because this doesn't happen to mid majors-

Mid majors don't draw the crowds we do even when we are 14-15 and playing USF. Mid majors don't have nearly the facilities or fan base we have.
When Hurley gets us back to winning ways (which I have full confidence he will do), we will be a bigger draw than many P5 schools.

Absolutely. I was wrong

Georgia?
"Georgia has ramped their recruitment up with Achiuwa recently. Tom Crean made a trip to see him this past week."

“Coach Crean came to my school three days ago to come see me and talk about Georgia basketball,” Achiuwa said. “He told me the plan they have for next year and the class they have coming in and like I said my recruitment is still open to anyone.”

For those who want to debate the AAC and UConn's standing based on attendance, here's 2018 average attendance records by conference for the regular season and the post season tourament for the top 20 conferences.
UConn attendance for 2019 showed an increase of 10.5% over 2018.
Note: Memphis reportedly had nearly a 200% increase in 2019.
Oddity: Summit league had higher conf. tourn. attendance than the AAC.

For each line you'll see the conference, then average attendance per game in the regular season and average attendance per session in the post season tournament.

The SEC cares about sports, they will figure it out soon enough.

Every year schools including Uconn target 40 to 60 kids, knowing they will only get a few of them. If we add only one other player who can contribute even a little, this would still be a great class. It is up to the coaches to further develop the returnees. The big project for me would be the big 3(Josh, Tyler, Whalley)because the minutes are there for whomever wants them.

"Yeah so I carry it right here. Help yourself."

Precious will be playing in the McD All-Star game tomorrow at 7pm (along with Wiseman and others) on ESPN2 if anyone feels like tuning in.

Why would we care if other programs are saying we are a so-so mid major if recruits aren't listening (as evidenced by 3 top 100 recruits), during our worst stretch ever? So dumb.
Uconn a mid major......yeah right. 22 or 23 NCAA D1 National Championships over 20 years and ranked 18 nationally in academics among public universities.

Pretty much a zero percent chance of that happening.
I don't think he's ready for the NBA, needs one more year in college, and I think those close to him will tell him that. If he declares now for the NBA he'll become college basketballs version of Garry Beban.

You gotta pay the troll toll to get in this thread

Precious had a good outing in the McDonald's game.

247 Report on Achiuwa as one of the five best performances:
"Achiuwa was up and down throughout the week but had a very strong showing in the actual game. With 22 points and 9 rebounds on 10 of 20 shooting from the field, Achiuwa had a big impact in just 17 minutes. Achiuwa has long been one of the most impressive athletes in the 2019 class given his rare combination of size, length, strength and athleticism at his age. On Wednesday, Achiuwa used those physical tools to dominate around the basket as a scorer and rebounder. "
