Think of it as an outlook based in reality
Just admit that when we got a crystal ball a few weeks ago you got worried that your original prediction would be wrong.

Off the Kansas recruiting update yesterday.
“There have been many top schools involved in his recruitment, but it seems as if the frontrunners are Connecticut and Memphis. The Huskies have been the favorite for a long time, but Penny Hardaway and the Tigers have made a late push that gives them a chance to get him.
Kansas isn’t 100% out of it, but he might be the most unlikely to join the Jayhawks out of the five players on this list. “
Does this Kansas insider have any credibility?Off the Kansas recruiting update yesterday.

I don’t think are chances are good at all, but how does trying to get a SG to reclassify signify we’re out?he is not coming to Ct...Hurleys recruiting dictates this..trying yet people to reclass..we r out ...let it go..

I’m hearing the same thing I’ve heard for the past few weeks. We are NOT the favorite, but are also not out of the running. I know that’s kind of a pointless update but that’s where it seems like we’re at.
That’s why I said about 1/2 the time. I know my son wanted to go to Cali, then TX, then FL but ended up going to college in CT. So it’s a process and you have to let them work through it with only occasional guidance. There’s valid reasons for going far away or staying close to home. It’s an individual decision.I never understand the "close to home" argument. I'm sure it's split, but quite a bit of kids surely want nothing more than to get the heck out of wherever they're from
Hardaway is like a Penny, all bright shiny and new. I see the attraction, KO had it for a while. If he can coach, then he'll be a force to be reckoned with. If not, then once the new car wears off, he'll be Chris Mullins.Unless you’re from the area, why would you take Memphis over UCONN?? Memphis is a dump..Dont give me Penny Hardaway is a master recruiter. Doesn’t make sense, if it was comes down to those 2 schools I like our chances. How many championships has Memphis won, what’s the tradition there? Now if it’s UCONN against UNC or Kansas, that’s a different story.
And I'm not sure which one is scarierOnly things I've learned from this thread so far is:
1) no one still knows where Precious will land
2) chief has procreated
Kansas has never been dominant even in those three NC years. 1952 was so long ago, no one cared, and the NCAA championship was like what the NIT is now. 1988 was a fluke, period. Even 2008 had the miracle Mario Chalmers three. Compare that to UConn's 4 national championships over 15 years, plus several years when they should have won it but didn't. Only thing Kansas has been dominant in is cheating.Unless you’re from the area, why would you take Memphis over UCONN?? Memphis is a dump..Dont give me Penny Hardaway is a master recruiter. So Penny is new and unproven. THAT is the ATTRACTION? They are in the same conference we are, our facilities are as good or better, we have more tradition, championships and name recognition, we have better fans, we have better academics and reputation and we have a somewhat proven coach who is the son of a Hall of Fame coach. Other than Fed Ex booster money, why the hell would a kid choose Memphis State over UConn?!?!?!Hardaway is like a Penny, all bright shiny and new. I see the attraction, KO had it for a while. Are you hearing that there is a favorite?
Since when is mediocrity trendy? He would get more attention playing at UConn. People are just rationalizing now. Sorry but there is only one thing that could make a kid choose Memphis over UConn and that is $$$$. The fact that he looked into WKU tells us all we need to know. People have been in denial for years about how sleazy recruiting is but the FBI shined a light on the cockroaches. These kids are playing with fire now that the FBI is snooping around. You don't need to go to a trendy school to be seen by NBA scouts. But if you play the wrong game with the wrong school, you could end up in prison instead of the NBA.Precious is planning on a one-year college career. Tradition is not going to play a factor here. The Memphis program is trendy right now.
He wants a year where he’ll have fun, work and develop his skills, win some, and get ready for the draft. He has numerous options, most of which will get him those things.
