Well wait till you read this, from their board:
You may have 4 titles in the modern era, but you do not have as rich a basketball tradition as Providence College. Your accomplishments are all in the modern era. No small accomplishment, damn near dynastic, but your actual basketball tradition is shallow, regardless of what you've done for your fans in recent decades. Providence has an actual history and longer tradition where basketball is concerned, a history of innovative coaches, great players, winning big tournaments when the NCAA was not what it is today. Now, you can guffaw all you wish and say "not good enough" or "your're all about the past", but the simple fact here is your program has no real history at all in the development of the college game. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Until the BE and until Calhoun. Before that, you were a school in the woods of northeast Ct. And yet you come here to tell us what a joke program we've been throughout our much longer history and tradition in this game! Congrats on your titles. Maybe you'll win another some time. We've done very well over the years. We got nothing to be ashamed of, and no reason to regard UConn superior.
So far, your main point seems to be that UConn is God's gift to the college game and Providence is a laughing stock to the college game. Some of us know better where the history of basketball in this region is concerned.
