It kind of hit me the other day that the Northeast, New England in particular, might lose interest in college ball all together. It just isn't compelling right now.
A P5 conference, be it ACC or B1G can revive it, but they need UCONN to do it. This isn't a myopic view either. Without UCONN, the sizzle in that area is just gone and a lot of eyeballs are going away with it. In so many ways, UCONN is the missing link in Northeastern sports. The link between western PA and the Coast, the link between Cuse and NYC, the link between Boston and NY etc. There is a gaping whole in the marketplace.
