It has a lot more than a rope tow, but Catamount on the NY/MA border has a tremendous value with $20 e-tickets (lift tickets purchased on-line) on non-holiday Mondays and Thursdays. Worth pulling them out of school for a day (or taking them on a snow day). I hadn't been there since high school and was pretty impressed when I went this past winter. The lodge is still the same as it was in the 70s I think, which is great imo. IIRC the bunny hill area has a rope tow and even lower priced tickets; but the rest of the mountain had more than enough varied terrain to provide great value for $20, even if you only ski a half day (during which you can get in a ton of runs on a Monday or Thursday because there are no crowds). Like everywhere else in the Northeast this past winter, the conditions were exceptional.
