Dawn has been known to make “ honorary” offers before to help draw attention to certain recruits like legacies, SC second level prospects, children of coaching friends, etc. most choose to go elsewhere to gain playing time.
Can you give some examples? Not sure I recall this happening recently.

Yeah she does this with in-state players from time to time.

Knox in Knoxville?

Probably not.

Of Grace Knox's final four, she probably has the shortest relationship and least familiarity with Tennessee's head coach, assistant coaches and style of play. Recruiting used to be all about relationships; that being said, now NIL is a key factor. On the other hand, if Grace grew up wanting to be a Lady Vol or the NIL package she's presented is better than her other three options, who knows what could happen?

Caldwell and staff did have less time with the transfers. To get them to come. Yes we will find out soon.

2028 Minnesotan is racking up a lot of offers. Assuming the South Carolina reference is to a tournament there? She plays for All-Iowa Attack.

Believe so. Recall see a post on Twitter from a college coach saying there were going to be in South Carolina this week.

With Chloe Johnson getting a lot of national attention I thought I'd share this link to a story on her struggles with OCD that was done by the Star Tribune here in Mpls. It's an outstanding article and the video embedded is something that would vie with anything ESPN might have done. The family had turned to Minnesotan Jake Sullivan after he shared his story on his own struggles with OCD. Sullivan played guard on the Iowa State MBB team. As a Minnesotan and a Cyclone alumni I found it particularly relevant but really do believe it is quite interesting to people with no connections to MN/ISU.

nTBA championship was T Myrtle Beach about a month ago. Don’t see anything scheduled for Rock Hill.

Don’t know what the SC reference was.

Pretty sure there was a tourney at Rock Hill last weekend. One of those featuring teams from different summer leagues facing each other.

Fantastic piece on an extraordinary young lady. As soon as I finished it, I went back and re-read it. I watched her play a bunch this summer with All Iowa Attack. I always say she is like a Jordan Speiser clone, both physically and with her skill set. Could be three years before she's ready to commit anywhere, but there will be one heck of a battle for her services.

Saw this posted on the UConn board. Looks like Prawl's decision to move to IMG has paid off with respect to opportunities. The FIBA site still has her listed as playing for Fort Erie, but they can be behind sometimes.

She had some good games during the U17 tournament based on her stats. Will be interesting to see how this season goes for her.

ND and Prawl have known each other for quite some time; including those days she was at Fort Erie. In fact, I thought her move to IMG might've precipitated a break in interest, given how many IMG student athletes I see head to SEC or southern-based ACC schools. That said, looks like there's still mutual interest between Prawl and the Irish. She's had an unofficial to ND back in the Ft. Erie days. Will pay attention to see if she heads back to the Bend of an official.

Two Twin Signings by Two Schools in Class of 2025

While perusing the latest HoopGurlz 2025 listings, I noted that two local Jersey hoopsters -- twin point guards Mia and Mya Pauldo from Morris Catholic High School -- have both committed to Kimberly Caldwell at Tennessee. Mia (HG #13) and Mya (HG 49) are relatively short (5'5") but very active on both defense and offense (think Hidalgo, Hannah).

They could fit in well with Caldwell's up-tempo pace which employs lots of players. During her one year at Marshall, btw, she had two Hayes: Aislynn and Alasia, both 5'8" guards. Those two weren't twins but, hey, you get the point. ;)

Meanwhile, Creighton offered scholarships to 6'0" wings Neleigh and Norah Gessert, from Millard West HS in Nebraska. They must be twins because one is rated 90th and the other 91st by Hoopgurlz. :D:rolleyes:

Just two of those developments that caught my two eyes....

Pauldo twins are a great start for the staff in recruiting.
