Why is LSU "out there" from Texas?
I generally think of "out there" as traveling West and "back there" as traveling East. "Up there" is North and "down there" is South.
Just curious (and perhaps quirky.). I hear people in Georgia and South Carolina refer to going "down there" when talking about a trip to Tennessee or North Carolina and it drives me a bit crazy. Yeah, I know I'm probably not quite normal.
Not sure I understand the question. Guess I could have omitted the word "out" and simply stated "to LSU". Driving distance from Lubbock, TX to Baton Rouge, LA is 763 miles.
