Cronin - WHERE THE HELL IS THIS JABRONI?!?!?

Asst coach - He called to say he'll be 10 minutes late.

Cronin - WHAT?!? WTF!!! FOR ONCE JUST BE ON TIME!!!!

Asst. coach - Easy coach...wow. In fact I think I see the cab.

Cronin - WHAT?!? HE TOOK A @%^#@^ CAB??? HOW MUCH WILL THAT COST???

Asst. coach - Calm down, man! We can't let him see you like this before the visit begins.

Cronin - WHAT THE %@#$$% DOES THAT MEAN YOU AZZHAT!!!?

Asst. coach - Mitch!!!

{knock knock}

Cronin - Come in...oh hello Mamoudou! Mrs. Diarra. Thank you so much for the opportunity to show you our beautiful University.

Seems strangely silent on this front. Anyone hearing anything about any more visits?

We only have one scholarship and I think I'd prefer Bragg over Diarra. Not sure what the timeline is for a decision for either guy though.

Bragg would be the better get without question. Is there a real chance he ends up at cinci? Haven't paid attention to his recruitment.

Heard he may do one or two more visits. I don't think that's a great sign

Who we are going to get for 2017? Waters, Diarra and Williams (just added two more teams to his list) seem like a no. We have 9 scholarship players and and really need a wing since all we have is Larrier. I thought this was a lock but seems players are just not excited about UConn right now.

It would seem the negative recruiting is something they will need to figure out and compete against. It's dog eat dog now for this staff, screw their "friends" in the coaching world they don't care anymore so why should our group? Everyone out there has a closet to pull some stuff out of, time to make enemies.

There is a bad smell around the uconn program. Horrible season and a ton of kids leaving. Coaches leaving. Red flags all around.
Heard a few schools on par with us that he might visit.

Not true. But interesting point. Most so called insiders (sure i am one of them) thought the visit was a formality
Thats how formalities work. The fact that he left without committing and that he is still interested in visiting schools this late speaks volumes of what he thinks about UConn. Its not rocket science and this has very little to do with his desire to explore all options.

UConn needs to grab a couple talented players (top recruits) and fill around them. 2018 needs to land a top wing and guard. I won't get too worked up until I see no one coming in to replace Larrier and Adams. That will be a tall order given that many UConn fans see the coach on the way out. But this is what will be required of recruiting.

Chills on the job

You eliminate the negative recruiting with about 24 regular season wins , a strong performance in the AAC tournament and an NCAA bid. Then you can approach the 2018/2019 recruits in better shape.

Especially considering guys like Reddish, Shittu and Quickley often wait until the spring to make decisions, a strong 2017-18 regular season will go a long way.

This. They need to overperform next year. If Jalen/Gilbert/Larrier are as good as we know they can be, and they avoid injuries, there are a lot of wins on the board for them. This season strikes me as one that can be sort of like 2013.

But if next season is a disaster and we waste Jalen/Larrier, we're in a lot of trouble unless we have really good commits coming in who stay.

I've moved you a little more to the outside but not to the outer limits like the Emerald City Dude.

Yep. We just need about three more good kids to commit for next season in order to have the manpower to get things done and that's been more difficult than expected.

My take as well. Odds for me next season are 50 50 at best based on lack of personnel and players who are coming off of injuries. If, and it's a big if, JA, CV, AG and TL play to their max potential there is a better than 50 -50 chance and the odds keep going up with better back ups and a decent 5. So far that's an unknown.

Hearing great things about chills. Work hard in pa, the beltway, new England.. he is traveling most days
Now you're moving closer to my insider chart. Keep it up. You reach it when you start telling the down and out in this form to Chill baby.
