What scares me about Sanogo is that it may drag out a while. The same as Nolley recruitment. We can’t afford to wait and miss on bothNolley and Sanogo please.

I don’t think we need to worry too much about the rule passinginteresting....he was the only grad transfer we were still in on. now we're at risk of having to redshirt 2 transfers if this rule doesnt pass.
unless we get a reclass that is
There hasn't been anything on him (UConn or otherwise) but I believe El Amin would be a grad transferinteresting....he was the only grad transfer we were still in on. now we're at risk of having to redshirt 2 transfers if this rule doesnt pass.

Certainly fair to have that opinion, and I know why you do. But from everything I've seen Martin is a very good playerRight, I just find myself struggling to get excited for Martin. I can’t picture him panning out here.
He has more upside than Vaughn.Certainly fair to have that opinion, and I know why you do. But from everything I've seen Martin is a very good player
Pretty please!Nolley and Sanogo please.
He's probably like me and gets about 5 hours a night.Don't you sleep?
Absolutely, and has 2 years of eligibility. Normally I'd take the concerns of fans saying he's selfish a little more seriously, but Hurley has recruited him twice now and I trust himHe has more upside than Vaughn.
Kermit does have some incredible hops. That’d still be incredible. Nolley is the ONE. We could get Nolley and Kermit the Frog and I’ll be excited

Well he's not coming here with Nolley AND Sanogo, we have 2 scholarships open. So those 20-25 minutes you just assigned to Sanogo are Martin's minutes (with Whaley/Springs/Polley/whoever shifting down from 3-4/4-5)I just can’t see where he’d fit in. He’s not taking minutes at the 3 from Bouknight or Jackson. He’s not taking minutes from Nolley (fingers crossed) or Polley at the 4.
Nolley would command 30 minutes a night at the 3 and 4. Sanogo would probably be looking at 20-25 minutes a night at the 5. I can’t picture where Martin would fit in the picture.
Nolley is not getting 30 minutes unless he is MUCH improved. Ton of potential but he was inefficient on a terrible VaTech team. Not sure why you are just discounting Martin when he was a starter and main contributor on a Top 75 Kenpom team. If he improves he could definitely take minutes from anyone you mentioned besides Bouk.I just can’t see where he’d fit in. He’s not taking minutes at the 3 from Bouknight or Jackson. We need another guard that's going to play 15-20 minutes a game right now, if the season started today we'd have Adams as the only guard off the bench. Here's how I'd see it playing out, throw in Martin as Y and Nolley as X in your scenario. Obviously could tweak some more to get Nolley some minutes at the 3 (probably take Gaffney and Adams down a few each). And realized I forgot Polley who probably gets around 10-15 minutesPoint being, we have an idea of the type of roles that Nolley and Sanogo would play. We have a need for them. What would be Martin’s role on this team? Serious question, just trying to get a gauge.

1: Cole 25, Gaffney 15
2: Gaffney 10, Bouk 15, Adams 5, YYY 10
3: Bouk 15, Adams 5, Jackson 10, YYY 10
4: Whaley 5, XXX 25, Jackson 10
5: Carlton 15, Whaley 20, Springs 5
Let’s say we get Nolley, which seems likely at a minimum. Then it’s something like:
PG: Cole 30, Gaffney 10
SG: Bouknight 20, Adams 15, Gaffney 5
SF: Jackson 20, Bouknight 10, Nolley 10
PF: Nolley 15, Polley 15, Springs 10
C: Whaley 25, Carlton 10, Ferguson 5
Where does Martin fit in that equation? There’s literally not a single guy I could see him taking minutes from with that depth.
I don't see Javonte Brown Ferguson, Adams or Springs getting nearly as many minutes as you have. In your scenario I'd give Martin his 15 minutes with 5 less from each of those 3Let’s say we get Nolley, which seems likely at a minimum. Then it’s something like:

I agree with Adams defense getting him minutes, that's why I tried to keep him in there. Martin averaged 13 and 7 last year, Adams averaged 7 and 2. Similar SOS, and similar usage %. I don't even think it's a conversation between the 2Maybe you know more than me, but I think Adams and Springs are both better players than Martin. Adams’ perimeter defense alone will get him on the court.
What makes them better than Martin? You haven't even seen Springs play in college.Maybe you know more than me, but I think Adams and Springs are both better players than Martin. Adams’ perimeter defense alone will get him on the court.

Well Hurleys pitch to nolley was 30 minutes on the ball. I think jackson gets 20 between the 2-3 and starts on the bench.Let’s say we get Nolley, which seems likely at a minimum. Then it’s something like:

We get that you don’t like Martin because your friend told you not to. Can you stop saying the same shit over and overAdams I think is more composed, plays smarter, plays harder, and plays great defense.
Springs I’ve seen play in HS plenty of times. They are completely different players. Springs will be the far superior rebounder, which I think will be his purpose on this team.
Martin has been a more successful college player than Adams so far, and you're certainly putting a ton of faith in Springs in his first season playing in college. Martin rebounds just as good as Vital who we all went crazy over because of his superior rebounding here.Adams I think is more composed, plays smarter, plays harder, and plays great defense.
Springs I’ve seen play in HS plenty of times. They are completely different players. Springs will be the far superior rebounder, which I think will be his purpose on this team.
