It's a nice baby blue. Looks nice on shirts. But those people have no idea about your football. You're just fooling yourself if you think building UNC football is a message to the world.Robert's is referring to the brand identity built mostly by the basketball program specifically as it relates to MJ who is still one the most recognizable sports figures in the world. So you will see many around the world rocking the baby blue interlocking NC logo just because they associate it with him

I don’t associate Air Jordan with Carolina at all. When I think Nike anything, I think Oregon.I think that is a stretch. It's been nearly 41 years since Jordan has been associated with UNC and the "Air Jordan" brand has been associated with Nike ever since. The "dunk" insignia can be put on any color apparel or merchandise. I venture a guess that more people around the world associate Jordan with the Chicago Bulls than Carolina Tar Heels.
I know that & more importantly Roberts knows that. The point he's attempting to make is that survival of 26 non revenue sports depends on a larger investment in football. It's a nice baby blue. I'm not saying they don't, what I'm pointing out is most people now MJ & it's not unusual for global pop cultural icons like Jay Z to wear his UNC jersey. I have personally had people mention his name the times I have been at airports in foreign countries.I think that is a stretch. Exactly. The grant of rights extends through 2036 because of the ACC Network.
The look in on the media rights contract is not going to be the watershed moment people have convinced themselves it will be.
And I'm say those are fairly large leaps. Anecdotes don't typically extrapolate too far over a general population. There are exceptions obviously, but for the most part Europeans are confused by America's college athletics obsession.I'm not saying they don't, what I'm pointing out is most people now MJ & it's not unusual for global pop cultural icons like Jay Z to wear his UNC jersey. Good pointI think if this could be good in the sense that the Big 12 wont take any ACC schools now since they'll stay together and would look again towards us
So, the rest of The ACC is buying FSU, Clemson, UNC, and Miami's silence until 2031. If they're able to negotiate lower exit penalties The ACC as we know it is effectively on the clock. So we need to be in the big12 by 2030 at the latest.
“As part of the settlement, Clemson and Florida State are asking the ACC to agree to reduce penalties for exiting the grant of rights after 2031, when TV contracts for the Big Ten, SEC and Big 12 are set to expire.”

So funny when ESPN insiders are reporting on ESPN media contracts
No, we've already seen it. If things were just about an espn extension fsu would have been gone already. That's such small moneyWe'll see. Only a few months to go.
FIFY.Actually, if people aregenuinelyonly concerned about carbon emissions from the generation of electricity, nuclear power plants are the clear answer.
Hard to say, but it seems like they're open to placating the bread winners in order to maintain the peace for a few more years. It's definitely a screwed up dynamic, but what isn't with that conference? Why would the ACC schools not named FSU or Clemson actually agree to that?
They’ve no reason and no incentive.
A lot of this is just common sense
