I think that is a stretch. It's been nearly 41 years since Jordan has been associated with UNC and the "Air Jordan" brand has been associated with Nike ever since. The "dunk" insignia can be put on any color apparel or merchandise. I venture a guess that more people around the world associate Jordan with the Chicago Bulls than Carolina Tar Heels.

I'm not saying they don't, what I'm pointing out is most people now MJ & it's not unusual for global pop cultural icons like Jay Z to wear his UNC jersey. I have personally had people mention his name the times I have been at airports in foreign countries.

And I'm say those are fairly large leaps. Anecdotes don't typically extrapolate too far over a general population. There are exceptions obviously, but for the most part Europeans are confused by America's college athletics obsession.

Those negotiations will be something! I'd assume that UNC, among others (Miami), also will not be satisfied with a reduced share. I would also have to believe that the agreement is contingent upon successful negotiations with FSU, Clemson, etc. Separating the wheat from the chaff.

Hard to say, but it seems like they're open to placating the bread winners in order to maintain the peace for a few more years. It's definitely a screwed up dynamic, but what isn't with that conference?

Tweaking the revenue formula…eh, fine. Maybe they do that. I saw some mention that they were going to consider giving FSU and Clemson more Notre Dame games…they probably need to discuss that with Notre Dame.

But making it cheaper for them to leave early? If any president votes for that, their school should fire them immediately.
