He's talking about playoff expansion not conference expansion. Move this to the football board.
You passed and get the golden husky!

Playing Memphis in your CCG might be a little different than playing Georgia in a CCG.
More along the line of Clemson playing Pitt.
I am willing to donate this for use as the trophy topper for a future Northeastern rivalry game. You passed and get the golden husky!

Nope...because you have to have an SOS in regular season better than UCF's current #90 ranking.
The playoff teams have rankings of less than half of that...a 12-1 Ohio State would be in before UCF.
Playing #132 in the opener doesn't help that. it's also a fake metric.
Which team with less than 3 losses did Clemson beat this year? Zero.
Alabama? One.
Oklahoma? Zero.
Notre Dame? One.
UCF? One.
SOS is overrated because it assumes there is an operative difference between the 50th best team and the 80th. As I just showed.
Maybe...but I'd take 3 loss Florida over 2 loss Cincinnati...and 4 loss Texas A&M ....and Texas, etc.
Central Florida has played no top 30 team....their best win was 7-6 Pitt and maybe 8-5 Memphis.
I have no doubt that Georgia would be 13-0 with Clemson's schedule, Notre Dame would also be 13-0 and so would Oklahoma
The problem with your retort is that no top 10 or even top 20 P5 team wants to play UCF.Nope...because you have to have an SOS in regular season better than UCF's current #90 ranking.

Can't the Big Ten invite Rutgers to leave like the Big East did to Temple?
More people attend Prof. Pickering's lectures than that 1901 sword fight. But 1901 fencing national champions!
I hear sword fighting remains a tradition in men’s dorms at Rutgers to this day.More people attend Prof. Pickering's lectures than that 1901 sword fight.
