They really went with the anti-Aresco. Talk about concepts of a plan
Say what you want about Aresco but he was a great cheerleader for the league. They really went with the anti-Aresco. Talk about concepts of a plan
Great analogyThe quote....from the New Mexico State AD is a succinct restatement of what we have known,,,and talked about on the Yard.
“That has been my No. 1 goal, to get us in an FBS conference,” Moccia said. “Football is the fat kid on the teeter-totter, right? You have as many other things on one side, and you put down football and [it outweighs everything].”
Or alternatively, you could disqualified Georgia schools from postseason play until the law was repealed. How can Georgia tell ncaa what to do. I’d ban Georgia from any ncaa sanctioned tournaments.
Fairness in college sports is dead. No other sports leagues in the world operate anything remotely like college does now.How can Georgia tell ncaa what to do. I’d ban Georgia from any ncaa sanctioned tournaments.
This is true, but that is mostly true because the NCAA declined to make NIL rules and instead suggested states pass their own legislation. States gladly stepped into the power vacuum. Georgia is just looking to push the boundaries of established precident.John
The NCAA has not been in control for quite some time.
Georgia judges power ends at the border. They can De-certify Georgia athletics and kick them out of Assocaiation (association means voluntary. The fact that people don't want to follow rules of association, then leave association.)This is true, but that is mostly true because the NCAA declined to make NIL rules and instead suggested states pass their own legislation. because that's what courts have been doing right along if you haven't been paying attention to the last 5 years. what do you think the house decision is?How can Georgia tell ncaa what to do. I’d ban Georgia from any ncaa sanctioned tournaments.
Agree, 100% regarding this. The mess we find ourselves currently in is due to the NCAA punting on this issue under Emmert.Georgia judges power ends at the border. The judges, politicians and media.…ncaa is a voluntary org.
There is nothing stopping Georgia from starting another organization.
Also, the ONE thing the NCAA fears is disassociation by the big schools. It is why the have given up so much already.Agree, 100% regarding this. The mess we find ourselves currently in is due to the NCAA punting on this issue under Emmert.
The organization hasn't been a friend of ours, and at this point, they've basically castrated themselves anyway. I won't complain if the whole thing goes up in flames. Also, the ONE thing the NCAA fears is disassociation by the big schools. It is why the have given up so much already.
No other country places so much time and money into college sports. I find it strange that middle age men are so keyed into 18 year old playing for “their” school. Colleges should devote their energy in creating the next Einstein not Lebron.Fairness in college sports is dead. No other sports leagues in the world operate anything remotely like college does now.

"The ratings growth for the WNBA this year was almost unfathomable.
ESPN reports that it averaged 1.2 million viewers for its games, up from 440,000 a year prior. By comparison, the NBA’s average rating last season for games on ESPN and TNT was 1.56 million. Some 3.44 million watched the WNBA All-Star Game vs. 5.5 million for the NBA All-Star Game.
The Fever alone garnered five games with more than two million viewers and 18 with more than a million. This wasn’t just Sunday afternoons on ABC, either.
A Friday night game on Aug. 30 against Chicago drew 1.6 million to Ion, easily the largest audience in the low-profile cable network’s history. Two games on NBATV recorded 600,000 or more viewers.
The Clark fans came and didn’t leave. They followed every game. Some of them, no doubt, began watching other teams as well. Yes, Clark was the main draw, but more people today know the brilliance of A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart than they did a year ago."
