Key tweets, and it's all gone to Hell.

Given the quality of most posts, I'm pretty sure there's not too many rocket scientists around.
Fill up a gas tank? Make a decent cocktail?

-> They really threw their weight around in this whole CFP process and we just didn’t have enough leverage to fight it.” Aresco on the Group of 5’s future: “What the G5 have to be careful about is to be forced into a separate division. That would be the worst thing. We had to be sure to always stay with the top guys because that’s how we viewed ourselves. … It’s why I’ve opposed this G5 playoff. … If you do anything that separates you from the [Power 4], it gives them more of a reason to say you’re not really in our division anymore. If you ever lost access to the College Football Playoff, you’ve got big problems. That’s your lifeblood. You can’t lose access to that. You play those teams. What you don’t want is to be like FCS and be in a separate division. You still play those teams but they don’t view you the same way.” <-

No idea how many UConn games will be on peacock if any but currently peacock is offering a year subscription for 19.99. Ends late June I believe.
Thank you sir, had been looking for a promo code b/c I want to watch Olympic swimming. + Big East if it happens in the next year

This would be death. You can get away with changing the name of your building or even putting ads on the jerseys for a period of time. Not this. It would be reinforcing league's reputation as smalltime every time it was referenced.

I'm guessing it's just shock value laying the groundwork for a compromise that leads to it being called the "Allstate Big 12" or something similarly tragic.
When the NY Yankees have ‘Vista Print’ on their uniforms, baseball is dead.
Disagree on the league. Throwing ‘Allstate’ in the name for $30-50M is just another revenue stream.

Colorado State University's new on-campus Canvas Stadium, with a capacity of 36,500 (including boxes and other premium seating), cost $220 million to build in 2017. Naming rights garnered more than $37 million, so subtract that from the cost of construction. Stadium capacity can be expanded, if justified. I haven't been there but understand that it's an attractive and functional facility.
Double or more the materials cost, add 40% inflation minimum to everything else. Don't know anything about site prep costs. Hard to judge the validity of the $220 million cost for comp purposes.

If they are going with the All State conference they'll need a member from CT...
Will they cause Mayhem with the playoffs? I can see it now.

If you have Xfinity for cable/internet then check out the Xfinity Rewards section of your account.
They were offering, or maybe still are, a free premium subscription to Peacock for Xfinity customers.
That’s where I signed up for my free Peacock account.

I caved....subscribed to peacock this week for the US Open. $20 is the price of a sandwich these days in lower CT so it wasn't too much to really debate.

Been enjoying the golf coverage...watching now.

I thought about it. I think I will wait until they actually end up getting big east games, of course, it will be handy for the Olympics as well.

I have never had a problem with Peacock or streaming on my TV. I think you have an internet problem.

The only streaming platform I have problems with is Peacock. And it’s not internet related it’s a problem at the source.

I did the same earlier this week. Pretty good tv/movie selection too. Much better value than a lot of these streaming services.

This also seems odd to me. Keep troubleshooting because the bandwidth on their end seems to be fine for me on multiple smart TV's.

Can we change the name of this thread to say ‘Anything but…’
There is not much to talk about. No realignment is happening, and the ACC will be in court for the next decade while everyone plays the wait-and-see game.

People have been saying realignment is dead for years. When Louisville joined the ACC, people said realignment is over. Since then, we have seen SMU, Cal, and Stanford join the ACC, the Pac 12 blow up, Oregon, Washington, UCLA and USC join the Big 10, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Arizona St. join the Big 12, and Clemson and FSU trying to get out of the ACC. And, we have seen the AAC restructure with Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF going to the Big 12, UConn go to the Big East, and a number of schools join the conference. And, the SBC and CUSA had significant movement and UMass announced they are going to the MAC.

And, we haven't even started the era of revenue sharing with athletes as well as the shift to streaming which will create additional conference uncertainty. There are even rumors of the ACC cutting schools to increase revenues for the top schools. Will Notre Dame accept the fact that they are at a disadvantage as they are not eligible for a CFP first round bye as they are not in a conference?

The bottom line is that conference realignment is not over.

Uhhh not when there is a literally a message from Peacock saying stand by…

Stop carrying the water for this crap service.

IndyCar just announced they are moving from NBC to Fox. The fanbase rejoiced.

Peacock is garbage.

If I go through peacock on my cable box it's kinda slow and clunky. Using the app on my TV, it's fine and works just like Netflix or Prime. I've just don't use the cable box way and it seems fine.

I think it depends on what you are watching.

I’ll be ditching in August.
