What a stupid article. Guy says “this is big boy basketball where assistants make more than $300k”. Uhh dude, the guy Hunter is replacing was making LESS than Hunter was at UConn.

I hate these P5 schools that are garbage at everything, but because the heavyweights like OSU, UM, MSU etc bring football money to the conference, they act like they earned their $40m paycheck instead of getting lucky. Fuch off

The NCAA has Louisville in its sights (again). They already had a kid decommit this summer because of it.

Murray was, in fact, the primary recruiter on Hopkins. Would have to imagine he's a little frustrated to lose a kid he recruited because of sanctions.

Lobo has less coaching experience than KO did, unless you count coaching her daughter in AAU. It isn't gender bias to say she's not a qualified hire. I suspect that she might be the first to say so.

Agreed. And doesn't she have a pretty good TV gig? Why would she want to be out recruiting? And do we think she'd be effective at recruiting HS boys?

Have to assume it’s Webster with Freeman being the obvious second choice. UConn can double Webster’s salary and it’s a huge step up. I’d be thrilled. He has a connection with Tripp as well

Those days are over. UConn in the Big East is a coaching and recruiting dream for lots of guys. For basketball purists, it is an awesome set of circumstances.

Fwiw looks like they didn't list lead.recruiters for 247 until recently. But this past year webster is listed for their top 2 recruits

Webster makes 145k a year from what I see. Both our assistant make 205k+... so we can likely beat any offer.

Blacksburg has also been pretty timultuous lately and their offense blows chunks. I think we offer a more promising future career-wise. Up and coming team.

He grew up in DC, went to school at Harvard and coached there too so knows NE as well as VA and that area. Sounds like a nice catch. Does anyone know about KFree and his recruiting expertise these days as a Nittany Lion?
