Still waiting for mine. I called the number for the Athletic Ticket Office on the confirmation I printed out. The number, 843-349-8499, is answered by a machine saying "this number is not in service at this time." UConn office has no information.Just got my tickets to the UConn tailgate party. Just googled the Coastal Carolina ticket office number and it is different than the one on my printed confirmation, The area code on the printed confirmation is wrong. The Coastal ticket office said my tailgate tickets will be available at check-in. Problem solved, I hope.Still waiting for mine. We're 5 days away now. Anyone have any word on how ticket sales are going?
2.5k bought including donations is a bit disappointing. From Mike Anthony article tonight:
-> The game will be held at Coastal Carolina University’s Brooks Stadium — capacity: 20,000. About 6,500 fans showed up last season for the game between Old Dominion and Tulsa, according to the bowl’s executive director, Rachel Ammon Quigley.
A UConn administrator said UConn had sold roughly 2,500 tickets, with some of those being purchased for donation to UConn students and to Myrtle Beach area middle school and high school teams. <-
Very. I guess Boneyarders bought all of them.2.5k bought including donations is a bit disappointing.
Sadly, we may well have bought the lion's share.Very. I guess Boneyarders bought all of them.
People that really want to go always find a way. Some people just look for an excuse to not go. A passionate fan base makes plans a year ahead of time. I already have rooms booked for the away games next year. As a fan base, we are not there yet. If someone wants to go to games, they make a budget out and plan their vacation days around the games months ahead of time. The future schedule is there to see. Make the plans ahead of time, they can always be cancelled, but if you wait until the last minute, it is always more costly.Disappointing but not surprising. I'll be lucky to be able wrangle a WFH day to have the game on in the background, never mind actually going to the game. Hard to gin up interest when game day/time is about as bad it could be at every level: time of the season, day of the week, and hour. It's as if it was scheduled to maximize disinterest. Who plans this stuff?
How do you plan a year in advance for a game that could be played anywhere in a 30 day window anywhere across the entire US?People that really want to go always find a way. I agree about the bowl games, especially without being in a conference, but somehow the fan bases that give a crap find a way. Especially planning flights. There were people paying around $600 or $700 for flights because they waited too long to book it. You can always find a hotel, but book the flight quickly. How do you plan a year in advance for a game that could be played anywhere in a 30 day window anywhere across the entire US?
