The cesspool was great, until it wasn’t. Then it was pretty awful. I have no idea how the leaching field is.I think it's the whole addiction thing. Even if you swear it off and it's still out there for your access scary stuff can happen. Stain was tired of being a junky and the temptation needed to be eliminated.
A lot of people went a little crazy on the cesspool and either banned themselves or asked to be deleted, at least that's my understanding.
Yeah, that never occurred to me, but I guess it’s a possibility.Maybeit’s an addiction. Some people need their access revoked to stay away.
As far as message boards go the first one I remember was the AOL UConn board. That was dial up internet and maybe somewhere between 1993-95? I feel like the most back and forth we had back then with opposing fans was the UMass Caliparis
Combo of work related and, I believe, he became disenchanted with The Boneyard over some Cesspool stuff plus The Boneyard's reaction to KO after the firing.
Hope Intlzncaster is present in a new iteration.
Couple of other losses:
Dogmania - his postgame reports should have been named "Dogmania Long Johns". If anyone wrote a long post that post would be identified as Dogmania in nature. Life happened I believe for him.
@champs99and04 - made Dogmania posts look @Waquoit brief. Kid was going to college (NH?). Was very popular until he took issue on something that the majority of posters reamed him over. Still is a member and recently made a post. But a shame he's less interactive.
Posters that have recently contributed that were absent or very quiet whose contributions I admire:
@caw
@aceboon
And most of all:
@Gurleyman
Great to see you back!
And...?
The leaching field is a boring echo chamber, nothing interesting going on over there. The cesspool was fun until it got a bit too personal for some. It seems like a lot of the drama revolved around Scal*to and Whaler, I hope they're both well.The cesspool was great, until it wasn’t. Then it was pretty awful. I have no idea how the leaching field is.
Yeah, that never occurred to me, but I guess it’s a possibility.
Did he used to do alot of recruiting stuff?I miss @3uconn
Yeah. He was really on top of it.Did he used to do alot of recruiting stuff?
Yeah what did happen to him?Whatever happened to whaler? I will never forget the poker night I owned him and nelson at the same time and nelson wasn’t even there.
I dated a woman off and on in my mid / late 30s - kinda crazy but also crazy fun. A few years ago she emailed me out of the blue. I responded and then she emailed back that she had just been diagnosed with cancer. I emailed back. Nothing. Texted her. Nothing. I googled her and got her new address, went to the house, and her mother was there preparing for the funeral scheduled for the next day.
Hope all the wayward boneyarders are healthy and safe.
I have to add this. I don’t feel like I add much to the board, but this is a bit on-the-nose: Boneyard inception?So a question for those who know the answer. For how long has there been some iteration of the BY online? I started coming here in 1997-1998 when I was in law school at Pittsburgh. I think it was McDs back then, and I was PittsburghHuskyFan.
A brief history on the formation of the BY would be a great read.
Yeah. He was really on top of it.
