Marquette has two open 3s when they were up 63-53 but missed them both. In left the window open for Creighton to come back and make this game close. If Marquette makes any of those 3s those would probably have been the kill shots.

We need a guard like Nembhard or Kolek... So quick, good w/the ball and can create great shots.

I know I had a feeling of envy as well. Don’t forget Alexande. I don’t trust UConn in close games. I hope they beat PC convincingly. AJax had a very good game against the Hall. When I watch Iguadaro I feel like AJax can and should emulate his game in the half court offense.

Ooof. Tough ticky foul vs Nembhard to let Marquette salt this one away.

Easily could've called foul on Cam Jones on final shot, giving Creighton 3 FTs for the possible win.

Can't be thrilled with the way refs called the final 30 seconds of that one if you're Creighton. Relatively soft call on the inbounds play and then no call on the contact during the last second heave. Don't necessarily think the refs made the wrong calls, but if we lost like that I definitely wouldn't be happy

Guy was holding him badly on the in bounds play, I hate that refs always let that slide but they let it slide and then called the foul on the strip which was clean. Also don't want a foul called 50 feet from the basket but Scheierman was clearly fouled on trying to attempt a heave.

marquette should have just heaved the inbounds down the court, put a hand on it and let the clock run out. they dodged two calls in the last 2 seconds of the game.

Two questionable calls going Marquette’s way at the end.

Villanova beats Creighton 79-67 in Wells Fargo.. That game down in Philly is not going to be easy.
Yeah. If we’re favored, it won’t be by much. On the road where we haven’t won since 2012(?).

That game will tell us where we are at. We’ll see if we’re ready for a deep run.

Nova has been playing like the 38th best team in the country with Justin Moore back according to Torvik. If you give them the benefit of the doubt and say he needed a few games and only do the most recent 6 (they've won 5 of the 6), they're at #34.

We're at #6 in that same stretch.

But still, will be tough to win at their place. 34th puts them at about the same strength as Providence, although obviously very different style. At the time, @Prov we were 5.5 point favorites (they improved their metrics since then). KenPom has the Nova game as 4 points. I'm guessing it'll be closer to 2.5 like Creighton was today.

.-.
Nova finally getting contributions from Armstrong and Whitmore. That's what I feared. We know Dixon and Moore are quality players.
Nova turning the corner was always about their freshmen.

Is Stevie Mitchell in the running for BE DPOY? He's making offense absolute hell for DePaul right now. Has done this to several teams in the MU games I've watched this year

Providence is a fine oiled machine. Playing without Hopkins who's been on bench nearly all half with 3 fouls.

If we win out we’re a 3. If we lose to nova and win out, we’re a 3. If we lose to nova and don’t win the tournament, we’re a 4.

If we win out- ideally beating Marquette in the process- and there are upsets in the Big 12 Tourney, I think we've got at least a puncher's chance at a 2.
