Yup.
Never ask how the Tuna is caught.
Or how the pizza gets blazed

Then why speculate.I have no first-hand knowledge, but if our fans think our only transgressions are what we've been punished for, I think that's pretty naive.
We offer facetime with Ray Allen and Rudy Gay.This is why I think our posters/fans should tread lightly when mocking other schools for violations/paying players. Besides the fact we haven't been a completely clean program, there's virtually no way to compete at the level we have, without having some skeletons in the closet. I have no first-hand knowledge, but if our fans think our only transgressions are what we've been punished for, I think that's pretty naive.
Just hoping we come out the other side of this clean.
I said I didn't have firsthand knowledge, that doesn't mean I haven't heard things from people who do.Then why speculate.
Doesn't mean that you do either. (As an aside, "I know a guy who says..." statements are the bane of the internet.)I said I didn't have firsthand knowledge, that doesn't mean I haven't heard things from people who do.
I literally said "I don't" twice, i'm not sure why you're "correcting" me by saying "doesn't mean that you do...".Doesn't mean that you do either. (As an aside, "I know a guy who says..." statements are the bane of the internet.)
Why don't we leave the harmful speculation about our programs to others? They seem to have it covered adequately.
Yeah I should have said did not do: see below:I literally said "I don't" twice, i'm not sure why you're "correcting" me by saying "doesn't mean that you do...".

So you [feces] talk us because your mad about what other guys post? Not following that logic at all.I'll agree not to discuss it as soon as our posters stop doing the exact same thing to other "$chool$".
No actually it would be: "I know a guy who says he saw..." Right?(as an aside, I wouldn't say "I know a guy who says" it would be "I know a guy who saw").
Yeah I should have said did not do: see below:

I hear you. But I hate the posts that needlessly post sheet about UConn based on "I know a guy BS." It's pointless. It is at best an attempted humble brag at faux insider status (and 'quite frankly' Chief's got that niche all sewed up) and at worst smear on the school. Just in case you think I'm over cautious I remind you that posts on the BY have been used by another school in a complaint to the NCAA and actually resulted in a secondary violation. I'd advise people to take that crap to PM if you really feel compelled to spout about it.Settle CL. He's not blowing up our spot. The original point is that EVERYBODY does these things. And I'm willing to bet that's very close to accurate.
When you see schools like Creighton offering $100k + a well paid job, you know it's an incredibly rampant practice. And UCONN's a big shoe school, which says something as well.
We aren't in the cross hairs for anything so far, which is the most important point.
Of course that’s a violation, how could the writer think otherwise?
So he thought everyone could offer every recruit infinite money and nothing happens if they don’t prove it was paid?
They’re actively trying to do the oldest, dirtiest trick in the book.
Interesting flip-side news.
Celtics assistant Allen pleads guilty in bribe case
UPenn coach took 18k from a parent to get his kid on the team.
Forced to repay 18k, and given a 200k fine.
Wonder what kind of implications this has for parties in the MCBB trial.
How the hell did anyone find out about this?
How the hell did anyone find out about this?
Absolutely no idea.
You keep responding that what I posted is "hearsay". Agreed, it is, i didn't pretend otherwise. While getting your panties in a bunch because UConn was punished by the NCAA for a secondary violation because of posts on the boneyard. It's ironic really. I'm readily admitting that i wasn't there. The likelihood of those posts being used against UConn (posts with absolutely zero details like who, what, or when) is zero, but you do you. I guess that's why it isn't surprising that you couldn't follow the simple logic of my point. Which is those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.I hear you. I didn't use the legal term hearsay because this isn't a trial but the point is fair enough. I don't know why idiots who have no first hand knowledge of violations love come on and allege that they do. It's stupid but I guess it's fun to pretend to be a quasi-insider. Not entirely sure why.You keep responding that what I posted is "hearsay". Agreed, it is, i didn't pretend otherwise. Suppose you're talking about @Chief00 here, cause you surely can't be referencing me or my post which literally said "I have no firsthand knowledge".I didn't use the legal term hearsay because this isn't a trial but the point is fair enough. The NCAA won’t act until the trial ends. US attorney has made that request and they will comply.Never really thought of it like this. The NCAAs inaction on this matter could be the 'excuse' the P5s use to break off and form a new world. Who knows?
I'll try one last time. Your "I know I guys says that..." posts are read recruits, their parents and opposing fans. Posts from the BY have resulted in UConn being assessed secondary violations by the NCAA. I don't understand why a fan of the program would post them since, as you pointed out they aren't particularly credible or useful, but it is clear that they matter to you a lot. You do you.Suppose you're talking about @Chief00 here, cause you surely can't be referencing me or my post which literally said "I have no firsthand knowledge".
Not sure why people like making mountains out of mole-hills, or misconstruing statements made on the internet just so they can get into quasi-arguments with strangers on the internet over things that matter very little. I suppose it's fun to pretend to be smarter/better/holier than others, not entirely sure why.

It is possible that there will be a pretty sibgnificant reordering ofvthe basketball hierarchy after this is over.
It looks like the violations did happen while they were on probation.Damn, wish those penalties would kick in before Mack steals all these recruits.
