Remaining games vs. P6:

Seton Hall at Kansas (right now)

Assuming SHU loses, the Big East is 13-21 at the end of tonight.

South Carolina at Georgetown
Oklahoma at Villanova
Wisconsin at Marquette
West Virginia at Xavier
St. Johns at Iowa State
Nebraska at Creighton
Uconn at Florida
Georgetown at Syracuse
Butler at California
Marquette at Notre Dame
Seton Hall at Rutgers
Arizona State at Creighton
Depaul at Northwestern
St. Johns at Florida State

The Big East needs to go 11-3 the rest of the way to end up .500 against the other P6. Not easy, not impossible. Seton Hall at Rutgers is probably the only game on that list where the Big East school will be a 5 point dog or worse.

Georgetown vs South Carolina and Georgetown vs Cuse just sound like eye-vomit.

Providence exercising discretion here.

I was impressed with Creighton last night. Not because they played their best game. But because you have to be pretty darn good to only lose by 5 against #2 in your first true road game, all while shooting 1-22 from three until 5 minutes left in the second half. Even more they got NO POINTS from their bench - obviously their weakest point, but shows how good their starters are. Also not worth nothing that Kaluma hasn’t given them a ton in their last few games.

I don’t like how our starters match up with them - I think they have the edge. If we drub their bench and kill them with depth, that’s how we’ll win

Are you kidding? Georgetown vs. Syracuse will be AWESOME. And if Georgetown wins, the Syracusefan will be epic.
A not so classic pillow fight. SU plays Oakland and Grown plays Siena prior to this showdown. Yes it is going to be awesome!

Poor take, IMO.

Maryland is a much more attractive destination for talent than Seton Hall, so the additions of transfers Jahmir Young (19.6p, 3.7a, Charlotte) and Donald Carey (13.5p, 2.9a, Georgetown) are better than any of the guys Seton Hall picked up.

Plus, Maryland returns three of their best players: Donta Scott, Julian Reese and Hakim Hart, two of which were starters last season while Reese was a top-100 recruit on '21.

Seton Hall fans who wanted Willard out did so because they thought he wasn't able to take Seton Hall to the next step. Personally, I think they are one of those teams who will never go to the next step, irregardless of the coaching staff. It's just not a top-level destination for talent. Personally, Willard is a better coach than some give credit to and I think he did a good job getting a lot of the talent that he had: for example, Jared Rhoden and Mamu were the 199th ranked player in their respective classes.

Georgetown wastes so many possessions with low percentage plays, but then so does South Carolina. There is a reason both teams suck.

Akok just set a moving screen that may have cost Georgetown the game. Brutal play.

Weird end to the Georgetown game.

Primo Spears of Georgetown hits a low percentage, hero ball shot then Georgetown grabs the jersey of a South Carolina player to keep him from getting a baseball pass that probably would have turned into a layup. South Carolina gets 2 free throws and ball. I didn't realize that was reviewable. Are only Flagrant Fouls reviewable? Are refs going to review every time someone grabs a jersey in the last minute?

South Carolina split the free throws. Heading to OT.

I haven't watched the whole thing but Wahab has been unimpressive late in the game.

Fun end to the Oklahoma/Villanova game. Brandon Slater's focus after grabbing the defensive rebound and then running the floor was something else. He's a gamer.

Georgetown loses to South Carolina in OT, 74-71:(
After blowing an 11 point halftime lead. Just brutal. Pat must go. But they just extended him after last season (who knows why) and he's owed a $14.9 million buyout if they were to let him go after this season.

In the Villanova game, Neptune looks scared on the sideline, and his team playing scared. He literally looks like he is going to cake his pants. Some guys are just not cut out for the big job.

Even the refs don't respect Neptune. Nova steals the ball up 4 with about 40 seconds left, and the ball gets passed up to Longino for a layup. An Oklahoma player tomahawks Longino across the neck and face, and Longino ends up hitting 1 of 2 free throws. But it should have been 2 FT's and the ball. Can you imagine the refs not giving Calhoun or even Hurley the flagrant foul call in that situation? Then, with under 10 seconds left, up 69-66, Villanova tries to foul Oklahoma and the refs don't give them the call, letting an Oklahoma player get a wide open 3 look that rims out. That is just disrespectful to the coach.

Georgetown is not eating a $15 million buyout, so Ewing is not going anywhere.
